ON1-K

A miniature version of the classic brawler Atlas is my personal favorite.

Take some range. Limiting yourself to MLs will bite you in PUG matches. No, the Orion is not fast enough. Try these:
AC20+2xLL+2xML
AC10+2xPPC+2xML
2xERLL+LRM15(A)+LRM10(A)+2xML
AC10+2xLL+2xML

I find that there are a multitude of very good builds you can slap onto the K. I bought the mech a day ago and in that time I've tried over a dozen builds with varying engine sizes.

The CT is large in proportion to the ST sections, so I prefer running with an XL engine, though AC 20 builds will obviously run standard engines.

My current setup looks something like a Catapult C1 variant with an extra AC/10 for CQB fights: AC/10, 4 MLAS, and 2 LRM 15s. The LRMs fire in staggered salvoes which is handy for raining fire consistently, though when I get the cash for Artemis I'll swap one down to a 10.

I originally bought this mech because I missed Warhammers so much, so I've previously used a 2PPC, 2 MLAS, 2SRM6 build.
You can also build it exactly like a Marauder by substituting out the SRM with an Autocannon of any caliber or even a gauss rifle.

You've got the hard points for pretty much everything, so test stuff until you find a loadout that works for you!

I like it too. Here's my variation of it:

Yes, it's a bit on the slow side compared to yours but Artemis really helps a lot. I don't leave home without. Also mine runs a bit cooler and has some crit padding for ML's.

This thread is a little old, but I thought I could pop my Orion in here.
ON1-K
It can shred through enemies when you get Gauss cooldown 5, and it works well as a brawler.
I am a newbie, but getting 3 solo kills in a brawl feels good.

My Orion K is like this:

XL300
2 large pulse lasers
1 ac2, 2 ton ammo
2 artemis lrm10 with 4 ton ammo
Beagle active probe (CT)
Endosteel
2 double heatsinks in the engine
Nearly maxed armor (I dont have full armor on my legs, -7 points...)

Firepower - 50, heat is 1.23. I have had games where I pulled 800 damage or over 800 damage with this one.
Dont understimate the ac2...
