[Blood Rose]

So I have recently got MechWarrior 4 Mercs and all is going well.... Except every time I turn I seem to automatically look to the side I am turning. This is annoying and disorientating. It also means that I end up staring at my cockpits side when turning and so need to re-orientate after each turn. also: How do I alpha strike. There isn't a key for it.

Have you checked your mouse settings? Is "mouse" checked for torso or turning? It needs to be set on "torso".

I think there is a key for an Alpha Strike, again check the key settings. But, after all, you could just create a weapons group with all your weapons.

Its not Torso twisting, its my Mech actually turning. For some reason the turning key also seems to be making me look to the same side as i am turning. Its damn frustrating as i find myself struggling to compensate. I have checked the key mapping:

Turn Left: left arrow key

turn Right: Right arrow key

Look left: num4

Look Right: Num6


I am using my mouse to torso twist.
im just wondering if there is a way to stop having to look left when i turn left and right when i turn right.

go into your options under controls, and reassign keys for turn left and turn right options. By default, turning left and right and looking left and right are mapped to the same keys (num 4 and num 6).

set up a weapons group and assign all weapons to that group. as you can see in the following pic, I set weapons group 5 as my alpha strike group.
