Soon they will implement weight class limits, so every drop is going to have 3 lights, 3 mediums, 3 heavies, and 3 assaults.

3 ECM Atlases, 3 Dual AC20/Gauss Jaegers, 3 ECM Cicadas, 3 ECM Spiders.

To be fair... I can see every reason a military would field that. We are playing a Giant robot war game (eventually) not Monday Night MechBowl. I for one don't have a problem when my opponent uses the equipment we all have access to in an adventitious way. It makes my job tougher, its kinda cheap, but it is legal.
Its a different class than using Aimbot, or similar cheats. That drop though gaming isn't cheating.

I can see one reason why a military wouldn't drop that...the sheer expense. If R&R were in the game, you'd see less Assaults and ECM on the field because that stuff is expensive to replace. Maybe once CW comes out and the whole "loyalty point" thing kicks in...maybe we'll see some changes in stuff because some factions may not have the ability to acquire certain pieces of equipment.
Who knows? It's not like either of us are going anywhere. I just don't have a whole lot of faith in how things are going to pan out. I'm a big fan of historical precedence.

Ok, but for an elite SEALs BlackOp, best of the best of the even better than that... They have scopes that can see through walls dang it! It wouldn't have helped me with my M-16 but They can see through walls Damit!!!

Then why do we see all manner of 'Mechs in matches now? Sure, I've run up against quad DDC premades. Destroyed them as often as Ive been destroyed by them.
If it were as simple as you claim, all we'd see is the quoted 'Mechs, in every match now. And we don't.

Don't forget us 4% players that win 90% of the matches Sir.

ive seen 4 lights take down 4 assaults, weight has nothing todo with anything.. player skill > all ..

agree.. but the only way to really get it would to be to not allow custom builds.. all mechs by default when you buy them come built with "role" in mind.

I really don't care what matchmaker is used as long as it is not used in Community Warfare. Having the composition of my planetary defense force dictated by a "balancing" matchmaker is nothing short of silly.
And because MM-related topics seem to endlessly pop up, I really need to ask: Are the majority of players here only interested in arena-styles matches? Because if that is so, then Community Warfare will end up being the biggest waste of PGI's time. We might as well just have the arena-style game that MWO is right now.

true, but then we would have a never ending qq storm.
as much as I liked to see more people doing role warfare, there's not much we or PGI can do about it really other then adding stock build matches, but then people will qq about SHS.
