I die from core and leg shots more than anything, but not a bad suggestion. Like this better?

No. An awful suggestion. Rule #1 of light mech construction: max leg armor. Always. No exceptions. Moreso on a Locust. You simply can't make a LCT able to survive a solid hit from a big alpha, but it has an annoying habit of losing leg armor due to bumping into rocks and other mechs and a legged light is DEAD. If you want to move armor, move it from your rarely-hit arms. IMO, a better change is to drop the CT ML. It'll run cooler and you'll be able to max armor more or less.

Much better.

If you really want 5ML, 2AMS, may I suggest: FS9-S
My Locust is my favorite mech it's like driving a whack a mole.

I can't imagine anyone taking a Locust for anything other than a challenge and fun. No ones going to take it because of its survivability, load out or viability. It's the ultimate "Oh yeah...we'll I'll do the same thing, but in a Locust!" mech.

Fair point.

I run 5 ML on mine with maxed armor and 11 DHS. 39% heat efficiency. That leaves you short of 20 tons, but there's nothing to do with that extra partial ton so I just leave it that way.
