Glad development and code time was spent on this. It's vital to this game's survivability to be able to get a shiny electric medal for shooting the right leg of a Wolverine with a MG 1000 times.

Seriously, if I wanted to collect stupid little achievements for random idiotic things in game I would go play kiddie games on Xbox and farm achievements in Pinata Party or whatever. LOL

When I am in a drop, PUG or dedicated 12, I am trying to WIN with the team, not worrying about getting the 5th crit on an ECM unit in a Raven that just ran by to get "ECM Masher" or whatever idiotic thing it will be called.....LOL

Can't fix the shuffling target designations in the code for months, but can create this huge database and stat tracking for achievements.


That said, fix the known persistent bugs, give us lobbies FINALLY in April as promised, and I could care less.

Don't really care about achievements, but they are nice... kind of like kindergarten was back in the day.... little miffed about my stats with over 7K in played games. I'd rather PGI/IGP spend more time fixing UI 2.0 and giving me actual CW with a persistent universe... hell do that an even I'll pre-order a Clan Mech or two.

A lot of them are just there to pad it all out, not really bothered about most of them. There are a few good ones which make them worthwhile. Ace of Spades is good one to get. 8 kills in a match, and when you get it your 'mech plays this song out over the battlefield.

I like the idea of Achievements being ribbons or medals. I think that there should be campaign achievements.

In the patch notes it says my old stats are archived in the profile. But I cant find them anywhere. Any pointers?

In the upper right of the stats screen there is a drop down that says "Current". Click the down arrow and select "Archived"

I'm not actually in Palo Alto, but real estate is running $1180/sq.ft. That is US dollars / square foot, not square meter.

Where I am is a relatively cheap $800/square foot, which is why I rent.

Really? Given they auto-completed my first 25 games, I haven't seen it.

Are you serious? How do you even mess this up? Another opportunity for a cadet bonus would be a nice way to alleviate the grinding out the ass for mech parts, not the least of which is the DHS tax to make most mechs even functional.

I still don't have an assault mech or more than 1 heavy mech even though I might like to try them out because they're RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Here's hoping the c-bill & GXP bonus from the achievements are enough to actually help, but I doubt it.

I would expect a serious company to keep their word, especially in the circumstances when it was caught on lies so ridiculously many times. Another public demonstration of total incompetence on all levels, PGI. Shame on you.

Anyway, having not cried on my pillow for hours on end for my deleted old stats, I logged in and received a few achievements and did not not like it. Getting the 8-kill achievement will be a challenge and I hope my enthusiasm for the game won't be lrm-ed away now that I run my new mech: the Coremagnet.

It's cute how they emailed the entire playerbase that 8 million cbills await them.

But they don't email the retraction of the mistake they made.

They post that on the forums, where as we know from PGI's own claims, only a tiny tiny fraction of the playerbase ever comes to read anything.

Seriously there error is kind of April joke simple to early.

But although the e-mail said - even when you allready had the cadet bonus you get it again. That didn't sound like a mistake it sound like there was something else in plan (all players start as cadets with same elo)

Anyhow nobody was hurt by cadet reset error joke so there is no reason to be angry. Only fools got angry by something that was taken from them they never had

Okay, just a few little figures from me.

If I got all the rewards from the achievements, I would gain less than 5% of my current store of C-bills and GXP.

They just aren't worth doing for some of us.

The real issue is that this move is 10 months late, so 10 months closer to burnout than it should have been.

The stats wipe was nice to annoy the braggarts, but in the end, achievements are meaningless, because I did all I could have done during that time, so wasting time trying to achieve is meaningless.
