 COM-7B
Following the conquest of Coventry by the Word of Blake, the Jihadists modified the 7S to meet their specifications. The 7B keeps one ER Medium Laser in the left arm, but adds two Flamers to it, making the 7B a lethal threat to unarmored infantry. A small cockpit makes room for two SRM-4s, which are still fed by a CASE-protected ammunition bin. The weight savings enabled engineers to add enough jump jets to rocket the Commando up to one hundred-twenty meters at a time. They also added an additional ton of armor.

This variant came out in 3068, and I believe I've read MWO is at 3050 now? I'm really hoping for a Commando with Jump Jets in the near future. I'd buy it the moment it comes out.

If it came out in 3068, you'd have to wait 18 years in real time before it's available.

The Commando 1D would be interesting (it was a ballistics boat).

It take it the Marian 4H is out of timeline (even if it is more primitive)?

1C had the AC/2 as its sole weapon. 1D had a Large Laser and SRM-6.

I doubt they will keep the 1:1 timeline, they will probably bump it a few years, and introduce "Early head start" packages or whatever the case may be whenever they do it, so they have an excuse to drop a ton of mechs and tech at once and charge you for it.

Just like they are likely going to introduce the Vulture in with the clan mech packages that are coming

They've already abandoned the 1:1 timeline, otherwise we'd be in 3051 by now. They've publicly stated tehy WILL jump the timeline forward, the question becomes when and by how much.

As for the 7B Commando, I doubt we'll see it anytime within the next 18 months, the next 24 isn't very likely either. PGI has not released a new non-hero/champion model for any mech since open beta began. While it isn't out of the question, I doubt it will happen.

According to their clock, we ARE in 3051 right now. So they are adhering to the 1:1 timeline (for mech releases), but you are correct they will jump the timeline forward.

My hypothesis is it will happen in Late 2015- Early 2016 after the initial 16 Clan mechs have run their course from TRO3050. By then it makes complete sense to jump from 3052 to 3062 or so, so that the IS can then have access to their versions of Clan weapons/equipment along with completely new weapons and mechs on both sides. :D
