Release of the EU cluster has generated interesting (but not wholly unexpected) interest in the Clan. I am sure it will bring with it new challenges that we will be glad to overcome.

Turnout at last night's meeting was phenomenal. Especially as it was on a day when our meetings do not usually happen.

We had 25 pilots on simultaneously last night. Enough to bang out six trials and welcome three cadets to the Warrior ranks, without having to ask for outside assistance.

These are always a blast to conduct. Smoke Adders are about to hit this "critical mass" so we envy you that internal flexibility. Makes it a LOT of fun to play a Clan-based unit when you can conduct Trials, Melees etc.

It feels so good, man. Three meetings ago we were at 19 attendees, with the meeting after that back down to 17. Last night's 25 shattered our expectations pretty handedly, though we had hoped that the meeting before last would have been around 21 attendees. That tipping point, man....

I hope we can continue having 24 pilots on for every meeting here on out, but I expect a little fluctuation for the next couple weeks. At 39 members active, though, it feels so good. We started with less than a binary. I had no imagined this amount of growth this quickly.

It was a pleasure to drop with/against you guys in the Clan/IS lance tournament this weekend, was a pleasure to see some old friends who are within CNC again. Am just happy my unit didn't have to run up against you this time :)

Also if your interested in joining the Nova Cats, I recommend these guys, all great people, friendly and polite when I run into them.

No it's not, I'v been playing under this username since i started MWO, and its pretty much my username for every game I play. I do have an another account, under my clan name I occasionally play off.

I actually have similar, i just remember names of people that either impress me, I like or i think are [redacted] -shrugs- unfortunately leaves a lot of people I meet at times forgotten by the wayside over time.

Yes, I recall that evening, Akula said he was going to come grab a few of us wolves to fill out the rest to get some trials done, and then never came back over...lol!

Congrats, well done, and may you grow ever more :D

Yeah... according to them, they were having a reeeaaaallly bad day that day. Considering the scores they told me, it sounded like it. :\

I ran into Flareheart only when passing scores to the keepers, and hoped in to say hi to Leo as havnt dropped with him for a while, to be fair, our drop scores were low on the EU session and below average on more than a few of our drops, fortunately we made up for it with 2 solid wins and a solid performance even though we lost.

My biggest takeaway from that entire tournament is that any held in the future should not have pugs in it. They made too big a difference in the outcome of any game played, even spread across 10 games, and as a result too big an influence on the personal scores of those in the tournament. Takes too much away from the SKILL factor and gives it to pure blind luck.

That said, I was pleasantly surprised that my lance came out with a solid 300 average score in the evening drop, when the Clan average was 264. Not sure how relevant that score is, however, when, again, taking into context just how huge an impact pug teammates and enemies are. One thing to farm atlas for components if they come at you in ones and twos to inflate the match score values, another if the enemy team runs light or your teammates murderball everything. Or roll over and die instantaneously like they did in several of our games.

It actually left a bad taste in my mouth because of it.

Delta Galaxy posted a 317 average in the EU session...not sure exactly where we fell...but it was still not bad...probably top 5-6 teams

I think it is interesting that the EU averages were closer to 300 (307 and 296 iirc), whereas the NA one was a hell of a lot lower at, iirc, 269 and 264. There were also way more IS teams in the tournament in both rounds.
