I love battletech too much for me to dislike this game. I'm a casual gamer who only plays about 10-20 hours a week (about 1/4th of that being MWO). I know I've broken the $200 mark, but I'm not sure the exact amount, and I will continue to pay so long as PGI entertains me (which they do). Sometimes the meta gets a bit too ridiculous, or gameplay becomes too repetitive and forces me to take breaks, but I regret nothing.

Mechs are cool, and this is literally the best thing to happen to battletech in the last decade.

Things I will pay for: Hero Raven, Shadowcat, arena/1 on 1/lance on lance game modes, private games (free for all with my buddies), etc.

I have spent $185.

Elite Founders pack: $80
Talon + Sabre packs: $50
Ala cart Ryoken:$55

That weeny amount means MWO holds the distinction of vacuuming up more of my money than any other video game ever.

About 380

Not sure about the breakdown, so this to the best of my flawed if sometimes reliable memory on money.

80 on the Phoenix package
300 on MC

And yes I will be buying the 240 clan package.

As well as hunting down the gold plated ones in game. Why you ask? Why not I ask. They're GOLD PLATED! I COULD SNIPE ONE FROM THE MOON BECAUSE THE GLARE WAS INTERRUPTING MY MORNING TEA!

I spent $13 and don't plan to spend more. I have 7 mech bays 2 of which were free and 5 mech, one of which was free. I do have a bunch of weapons and c bills from playing.

Let's see . Founders pack. Phoenix pack. Sable add on. 1 yrs premium time. And $200.00 more in mc credits.
So around $600.00 plus.
I wish I knew about how poor a developing company they were before hand. And why ohh why didn't they opt in the cry engine service plan to get help with a toy they still have no clue how to use right?

You really can milk the shit out of people with f2p. Just look at MWO, the game doesn't even have to be somewhat finished.

Don't know the exact figure, but probably around $300 if you include my $55 a la carte Stormcrow. More than I've ever spent on a game, anyway. Pretty darn cheap entertainment compared to going to the movies or paying for a cable TV package that carries a bunch of crap I have no desire to see.

This man has a cup of morning tea instead of that bitter bathwater called coffee. That makes him awesome.

$30, pretty much what this game would be worth in retail.

$120 once was more than enough for a game I was sold that never looks to be coming anytime soon.

I'm not going to complain.

Say one thing do another seems to be the theme of the show the devs are playing.

See, I can do it too. Say I won't complain, then turn around and complain. Which is exactly what the Devs have done time and time again. "We won't add (Insert any # of many things)" followed shortly by "We're adding it anyways"

Shakespeare had the line "Kill all the Lawyers" (always used out of context to the situation in the play).

For PGI the Line is "Trust them to Lie"

Nothing, this game has no future, too few attention to a game from the devs side, too much attention to a customers wallet.

Legendary Founder: $100 I think ? cant remember
Sarah's Mech: $10 ( Would do again and again, loved the cause)
Phoenix Overlord: $80
Saber Reinforcement: $30
Clan Collection: $140 ( Plan on getting the whole pack but now curious about those game stop 20% off cards I read on these threads) And maybe around $40 or so in MC? maybe more, I have a couple of Hero mechs. I don't mind spending on a game I enjoy so much but I would gladly pay for an alternate UI :)

For me it was;

Phoenix Overlord: $80
Saber Reinforcement: $30

After reading this I did not feel too bad about getting it since the premium time was "worth it", though I feel bad about it in the mean time since I have no idea what "real advantage" the Phoenix mechs really provide. Yes, some special loyalty bonus were advertised, but I have yet to see any results....yes, yes, Soon™, I know...

Considering some of the epic crud you can buy with 40$ at your average game shop, or games that give you a few hours of good game play before getting boring, MWO has relatively equated to more than the "play time" of 3 store bought games.

None the less I decided to hold off on the Clan packs just because of the experiences I made with the Phoenix mechs, e.g. the C-bill versions were all better, the Champion bonus (+10% xp) is only useful until you master that chassis, and I have yet to see any benefit of the mythical loyalty bonus.

There has to be some major "WOW" going on for me to consider spending any more than I have on MWO so far. I kinda feel bad for those that spent more than 200$ so far.

i spend a lto on MW:O stopped playing for a while returned and I am playing casual for now, most of the fun comes from playing with the european Windborne Highlander teammates, I hate the way HSR works for non US players in comparison to other games, hit detection sucks, but no other game has BT:mechs and this oldschool BT feeling, so I will probably keep playing.

I checked my account I spent 435$ on the game + SarahsMech and Overlordpackage which I think are not listed in the account data, but you have to add the money my wife spent on the game, since it is paid from my bank account, so you can probably add another 300$.

I have 47 mechbays(2 won) and 45 mechs, I have some hero mechs(Atlas, Banshee, Jager, Orion, Highlander, Kintaro) and some colours and patterns(which I actually don't use anymore).

I am 36 years old and working, since the money was spent over a time of 2-3 years, it's actually not that much, if the game was better I probably would have spent more.

I'd say I blew about 120 on this game, including phoenix pack, my favorite mech, the timberwolf, and some MC for mechbays and paints.

In other words, I spent too damn much. From now on I resist temptation until they come out with a hero variant of Mad Dog.
