On three separate occasions I have had a glitch where my machine gun ammo counter would continue to go down without firing them. There were no effects present as they fired, only the friendly chime of low ammo to notify me of the expenditure as I ran around the battle field. It was not due to an ammo explosion.
I didn't see another post on this or if anyone else has had similar happenings o if this also may happen with the ultra ac/5 or other auto cannons.
I was able to stop it once while it was occurring by firing the weapon, but another time I helplessly watched my ammo disappear.

I've had this as well on two occasions (the guys on TS gave me a heads up that I was spraying).
Check the batteries in your mouse. I found that my cpu was registering a stuck mouse button, resolved by clicking again.

Only have had the MG 'glitch' of the MG firing sound never stopping.
My finger was off the trigger and never stopped even after my mech went down.
Finally stopped as the match was closing.
Has happened 2-3 times the last few months.

I have had the MG sound effects blaring without my guns firing, but I am pretty sure there was some serious funkiness going on with my CPU load at the time.

Unplug any flightsticks, pedals, controllers or things like that, if you are not using them.

Never encountered it myself.. But I believe it tends to happen for people who macro their MGs.
