The wins against clan tech using only IS tech (including lostech) will be reward enough for me.

This, i expect the clan invasion to be a free xpac, with its own versions of founders.
(Except instead of 4 IS mechs, it would be 4 clan mechs. *derr*)

I just know the Clan stuff will come, my only fear is this will mess up the gameplay in the same way it did with the old boardgame (basically no IS players until IS mechs started to feature clan tech....and then it just didn't seem like the IS anymore (just Clan wannabes).

Well when it becomes available it will definitely dominate the battlefield in terms of numbers far beyond what there "should" be. I think its the favorite clan mech of about 75% of people.

The Timberwolf always made my brain hurt because I entered the series around MW3 then backtracked then went forward again so I look at the TW and think oh it's a Mad Cat then remember the basic fundamental differences xD

I would love to see the Cauldron Born from Clan Smoke Jaguars making a solid groundpound onto the scene

No fundamental differences. The Mad Cat is the Timber Wolf. Mad Cat was the IS code name because they didn't know the real name and it looked like a cross between a Catapault and a Marauder, hence Madcat.

Another misnamed mech is the Mad Dog, which the IS gave the horrible name of Vulture to, in reference to it's use as a fire support mech

While i think extra start game mechs would be cool, 4 is more then enough for me. And i've aways thought that the Kitfox was the coolest mech, as long as i get that i'm happy.

Well I guess we will see the Timber Wolf and other Omni Mecs shortly after the Clan Invasion begins. I'm really looking forward to all those nice Clan Mecs and I REALLY hope we can play as Members of the Clans then, too.

I think the OP had forgotten the words "....as the rest"
I think a TImber Wolf with a additional Credits Boost and maybe the advantage of configure it right before the drop would be the Type59 of MWO...
when clan mech then give them a Ice - Ferret . powerful but you need skill....while every child can hot drop with a Timber Wolf and kill most enemys.
