These modules for range 90m AMS gave a 4m and then 8 m buff to range. With the AMS range buff these modules should be proportionately increased as well (so the 33% increase), this corresponds to module buffs of 5 and 11 meters (rounding from 5.3333 and 10.66666)
To conserve ammo I suppose the modules could be changed to a damage buff?
Ams Module Should Be Buffed

1 AMS removes a LRM5 from the game already. AMS is already way over powered as is, the only downside is it fires indiscriminately thank god and uses up ammo.

In ideal conditions, a stationary ASM should kill about 4 incoming LRMs. If you're moving away from the launcher, you'll get more, if you're closing on the launcher, you'll get less.
The practical effect of the range buff module is zero at current values and negligible even at the proposed 11-meter increase: 8 additional meters buys the AMS enough time to squeeze off three additional rounds, which isn't enough to get an extra kill, while an additional 11 meters is enough time for four more rounds, which, depending on how the game rounds off very small numbers, might get one more missile.
In terms of avoiding LRMs, spending that 3 million on a bigger engine would probably serve you better.

They don't need to be buffed. More people just need to bring them (and/or ECM).
While playing tonight I did not see many AMSs at play.
Many people also need to realize that they're being rained on by LRMs from behind a hill because someone is spotting behind them. Some players are not even bothering to look for spotters.

This pretty much sums up my feelings about AMS and the use people gives it in the game. It's very simple, if AMS was overpowered as someone said above, there would be MANY more pilots equipping it, and MANY less LRMs around.
