Dear PUG assault pilots,

Would you like some more handholding? Are you unable to find which way you are walking, even with the shiny arrow at your feet? Are you unable to read the map, and so use the light mechs in front of you as guide dogs? Or maybe you're so pathetic that you think you need an extra 35 tons of mech to act as frontal armor?

Pitiful. I've never been so damn annoyed in MWO as in my last match. A match where 6 of 12 mechs were assaults, 4 were heavies and only one light and one medium. Domination on Grim Plexus. Naturally, I'm taking a position behind some tall cover while in the circle. Popping in and out of cover with PPCs. Reverse to get into cover again, only to hear the dreaded metallic 'clonk'.

King Crab behind me. Not even bothering to make room for someone that's clearly already there first, and visibly popping in and out of cover. Being in the midget slow medium that is a Kit Fox, I naturally get blasted by half a dozen PPC shots and instantly pop.

Also bonus props for these heavies and assaults on the following match voting in conquest because "it pays more". Do us a favour and *don't* vote conquest if you're bringing in a 32 kph assault. Please. There are few lights in game as it is, and those that are still around are tasked with capping points, not babysitting fatmechs all match.

Now I take issue with some of the sentiment here. I got teamkilled on my clan alt the other day. I run an ecm/triple ams kitfox. I use it on first wave to make sure my heavy chums live longer. Our first wave petered out and I rturned to marry up with wave two, thinking to keep said triple ams/ecm alive to help 2nd wave.
A certain player from a clan [xx1] decided I wasn't allowed to do that and tk'd me, despite the drop caller pleading with him to stop. He was ranting and accusing me of the very thing I just mentioned.
The team was furious with him.
I've spent an entire game in my warhammer quad ppc, brawling and not died before.
Don't assume the worst of people.

This is a pre emptive whine.

Had a skirmish game where the last two mechs of which I was one had no weapons
So had to ram each other for 5 minutes till the timer ran out for a tie.

Even discoed and reconnected for a bathroom break wid no affect on the outcome what so ever.

Every match tonight was just ****. Teams just fell apart in 20 seconds.

Seriously if this game had anything remotely approaching a balanced and fair 'matchmaker' is popularity would benefit 20 fold. As it stands games are as lopsided and stompy as ever and it usually relies on a few good players to carry. If the good players on a team are having an off day every match just goes the same way.

I mean how can anyone who isn't a die hard fan find 6 stomp losses and 1-2 mediocre wins fun. Oh wait it even grates on the die hards.

When your exercise in legging assault mechs pays off - and when knuckledragging guns actually work for once!. Saw a gun-boating ANH with a stock engine in HPG. I know that showing my kit fox will result in instant death, so I stay around the ramps where I can take potshots at the assault mech's legs. Turns out that he had only ~30 armor on the legs, so that pops quick.

Drop an artillery strike on the crippled ANH. Didn't bother watching the fireworks as he promptly got shelled to death.

Actual whine:

Locusts + HSR + Projectiles = crapshoot. Never know when HSR decides to speed up shots or not...

A ****ing assault blocked me on the citadel on RC. Poking 3 enemy mechs in that middle crossing, killed 1 and crippled the other. Here comes Mr Kodiak and he lines up behind me, and start walking forward when I'm trying to back up. I wiggle trying to break free, but he ends up pushing me off the side directly into the enemy firing line awaiting bellow. **** him and **** people like him.

Sometimes you just have to walk away and take a break. #puglife while playing quick play. Can't stand the random people they put you with sometimes. No one wants to win but yet when we lose they complain about losing? I don't get it communicate before game is lost then maybe we have a chance.
It's like everyone does the opposite of what you say. I call a regroup and everyone runs everywhere else but where i am calling everyone too. What ever. Taking break for a little bit. Maybe back on tonight.

Funny story.
So i was just in this escort game. Half the team was not even near the VIP. Me and the rest of the other half of the team were with the VIP! The one guy using mic was one on the other side of the VIP was blaming us because we did not stand in front of the VIP but he played no fault in the game being on the other side of the map away from what he was to protect. lol. I swear the people i get grouped with. lol

I'm not assuming people are in themselves awful... in FP losses i'm not wildly ecstatic about said behavior; when people have chosen not to share armour... (or team killing in general).

well I've heard a bunch of people go with the idea of pushing ahead of the VIP so the other side never gets close enough to see it with various success. and seen the "everyone stay near the VIP" with various success. my favorite though was the "everyone protect the VIP AAAAAH i'm being shot" <5 mechs use the VIP as the tip of the spear the rest of the match until it dies>

also these last two days are trying to punish me- yesterday 6 straight incursions, today 6 out of 7 domination (7th was incursion). about half the matches the choices were domination/incursion. is there some sort of "everyone must play incursion/domination" event going on or something? I mean they're ok once in a while but not so many in a row (of course conquest was never to be found...) dunno if I want to log in tomorrow for "escort day"

on the plus side I did get 4 kills vulturing, I mean "kill securing" them like a good trashcan in my urbie yesterday (they were going to break anyway). unfortunately my 1v1 vs the king crab didn't go in my favor...he had a firestarter help him.

Well bro you must be talking of someone else because i never in game called anyone any of those names. So fact check bro before jumping the gun next time.

And just to clean up something. This is not a troll. This is me venting my game. If you don't want to see people venting then leave. This is for venters like myself. Its how we get back on the battlefield after games that are terrible. I did not mention any names or call anyone in game names. I am not saying they were not trash but i never called them that in game.

I hear ya man. Just been a bad few days for me. I like playing Faction play but yesterday waited for about 10 minutes and still no game. But anyway tonight 5 games so far with my cent trying to get a win and no luck. Maybe my 6th will be the one.

6 players on my team failed to score 200 damage before dying.
