LOL no worries. i was just going through a few old mechs and hadn't played the gridiron in awhile. took one too many steps off the citadel and end up playing tag with 3 assaults. one of which was you. and i wonder why i am tier 5 lol

I give up.
Kids have a late start due to snow. So logged in to work on leveling the Kodiaks (I can't take more than a few matches before being broken). First match no one went to the circle on domination so I felt like I had too. Second match on forest and one of my god damn mouse buttons stopped working, stopped to move weapons group over and was killed. Third match actually did okay but totally wrong build for a tunnel push (which was what was called and I do try to listen).

Its always like this with these things. A sole mediocre win with 2-3 horrid, just horrid, losses. Quit and played an MK-II and a BM and both were awesome wins with 500 and 835 damage respectively (spectacular for me). But back to the Kodiaks and its 122 damage done and a loss. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I hate these things, and no part of playing a game should be this un-fun. Don't know if it's the process of leveling, or just how badly their mobility is compared to other mechs I play, or if I am just unconsciously doing something to fulfill some sort of odd self-defeating bias; but whatever it is I am done with these things. You beat me PGI. 197 mechs and these will be the only ones I am not going to master.

Oi! I forgot how bad people can be at this game! Watched a Direwolf with his nose to one of the piers on River City. He would look around every now and then, I guess to make sure no one snuck up on him, and then went back to staring at the wall. He finished the round with 250 damage. In the same match, a victor with a rotary AC 5 a llas and ssrm4 firing all his weapons generally into the red targeting square at about 500-600 meters with no regard to his missile range or what part of his target he was hitting. And the camping! All the camping!

I cried today seeing a MCII with gauss-vomit and two LRM-10 which was so focused on lurming (and not hitting) that he forgot to hurt the enemies with his big guns while his teammates where dying... He could have easily turned the match around with his (of cause) fresh mech but paint must be expensive these days...

LRMs can be easy-mode...when applied properly.

The sad bit is seeing how many people just...don't ...

Also, I'm here to tell you, nothing ruins an LRMers day like a half-competent pilot in a decently fast mech that knows how to use cover to close range.

Which is another one of those "sad that people don't" type of things (hint: shoot the UAV).

I guess what I'm saying is, at the end of the day, it's probably a close to even ratio, that would read something like this.

Times I or another boat is an uncounterable LRM death machine: Times I or another boat is 1). swarmed by fast smart mechs or 2). witnessed firing LRMs into the bridge standing over us instead of at the target that is 80 meters away and behind a building.

Man, also, mixed-bag mechs can be fine, right, like, go ahead, pack an LRM 15 or 20 on that Atlas with your AC/20 and MLs and stuff, whatever.

But then please, for the love of Blake, only use that LRM to engage/suppress just long enough to get your weapons/armor into effective range, and don't just stand in the back trying to actively assume the role of "fire-support".

Right?

That's what i was trying to say. That guy was in perfect range for his gauss-vomit and it was 8-9. Instead of just pushing in to help his mates with firepower and armor he kept firing his two LRM-10 until it was 8-11.

I play lrms by myself from time to time and i can make them work, but it's gross how they tend to induce bad habits on many pilots...

Just cause you have a "long range" build doesn't mean you can't move up and brawl. If you can't brawl your boat the lights are going to eat you alive.

Not every one can be Koniving and the ROFLpult lol

Rant incoming

Unlike most people here, who are complaining about mwo, i am complaining beacuse i cant play.
I recently moved to a boarding school, so now i cant play. The pirhanhas came, and i really wanted to try them out.
I won the mechpack in a tournament before i left and now im stuck 2 and a half hours away from my hometown, unable to try the mech i won.
That was not the only reason however, i need to get some supplies and other stuff too.
I dont know what to do, i havent been able to play mwo for weeks.
I may not be able to play till presidents day, and only a bit at that.
Im just so angry about this right now, i dont know what to do.
