This is a regular occurrence on patch day now. I think each patch buggers up the elo/matchmaking or whatever convoluted system they use for a couple of days. Last night i had the opposite i had a few games where i practically walked right through the red team as if they had paper towels for armour plating.
Best thing is expect to loose on patch day as i do as it always seems to dump you with crap badly organized and low skill players. I was just lucky that last night seemed to be the exception to the rule.

However, I am happy to report that I won my last match and ALMOST hit 1000 as well as surviving til the end. Not sure which of those things I was more happy about.

A brawler player will never have a pro k/d... the ppl in this game ( and here is my whine) who think theyre pro with their 'pro' k/d's are actually c**** who hide behind their pugs and go for the kill shot and spread damage to get high damage scores. A real pro will be at the front leading and creating the initiative for their team.
Dont worry about your k/d and I bet your w/l goes up

Re quoted for an intelligent point.
That light "stealing your kill" stop "your" kill from shooting you again, thus weakening you for the next combat. Lights are not just scouts.
KDR is a useless, pointless thing. The only thing that matters is your team and their success.

Any mech putting any damage on an enemy is an asset. You see too many guys shooting the scenery instead of the enemy or worse, wasting shots in your teams back. Be happy when your PUGs hit the enemy.
Distracting a major threat in a battle is not really a waste either. You keep them from shooting your team mates, so not a waste.
