Oh I know I'm not taking all the damage I should or I'm rolling damage like a beast.

I think I held up longer than I should have here.

For a rare occasion tonight iv'e been able to play for about 2.5 hours and I've barely survived a match. It was getting so bad i had to bring out my headshotting awesome and blackjack just to rescue my k/d ratio. Then looking at the results score i realise i was actually carying hard with a team that struggled to damage a wet paper bag. Such as a KC with a score of 9.

Happy though got about three headshotts in one Match including an atlas.

In a fit of pique tonight, I shot a Battlemaster that was at the spawn point AFK...or so I thought. He began moving and put some laser fire into me. I took it and let it go. (no apology from me on team type.) A few moments later he blasted me again in the back. This time I looked around and put my guns on him. He didn't shoot so I figured all was well. He had had his revenge. A third time he shot me so I came about and killed him.
This was during a CW game and I lost my K2, (cored) and he lost his Battlemaster and neither of us had fired a shot at the enemy in these machines in anger.
It's not a whine.
I'm just sorry that he was such a useless ****.

I'm noticing that peculiar behavior more often in CW. Somebody who sits afk or hides in or around spawn, waiting until the rest of the team is destroyed before attacking or evading all the rest of the enemy. It's one thing when that happens in C/A/S modes, but CW burdens us with that garbage for what could easily be the full 30 minutes.

(The answer to that, of course, is to only drop in trustworthy 12-mans. )

Haters... Haters everywhere.

People who spread out....
Then spend the rest of the match swearing at the matchmaker and the developers as they get picked appart.

People who swear about LRMS.....
With 1(!) person on the other team using them at all.

People who get so angry about poptarts....
As they hide behind a hill for cover while using JJ to get their shots.

Haters, Hypocrits, and humanity. -_-

On that same token Shar, just now, witnessed a player who charged full bore in without warning ahead of the pack, and then got killed and raged against the long range folks who were trying to shoot enemies from behind for not supporting his "glorious charge" before he disco'ed.

Later in the same match, the player who was clearly a non-native English user, and who was doing his/her best to communicate plans, and talk about teamwork, gets mocked by another grouchy player with the ever so classy "Is that even English?". Best part was, when the scores popped up, that non-native English player was hands down the MVP of the match for our team, even though we lost, and practically tripled the score of the complaining/whining/blaming it on everyone else guys.

This is why humanity's a drag sometimes. ;)

The truth is, I enjoy hearing these types of people suffer, since it feels like karma or something.

It may leave me open to trolls (it really does) but it irritates me.

It is just so.... pointless! -_-
They have GOT to be exhausted from being angry so often though.

To be fair, I understand what people feel frustrated about sometimes, I just don't relate so well to the level of reaction you see sometimes. And being frustrated, and calling people out, sometimes even sternly, isn't so bad, but it's when you see some of the harsh stuff that really gets me. I mean, the best player on the team in that match, who was trying his hardest to coordinate the team, despite the language barrier, and rather than a, potentially valid critique on his strategy, or playstyle, we're going to mock his language? It was awfully damn tacky.

And yeah, I HAVE to imagine it's exhausting. ;)

Now if he just pushed without any warning fair enough, plonker. But.....those long range folks the majority of the time are in the wrong. The staggering amount of lost games I've witnessed because half the team WILL NOT move up, because they want to "snipe" (from 500m?) letting their other 50% of their team die because they are out of position....
Fights are an organic, alive thing. they change and grow and evolve. You CANNOT sit still and snipe all the time. Arguably the best snipers are lights. Fast enough to change their attack angles, constantly to fit the fight.
Johnny Mcnoobjaeger ridge hugging like a pro, will experience a progressively poor shooting solution as the match progresses, because he has failed to move to improve his angle. Meanwhile his 3 srm team mates are sat with him because they can't engage the enemy, because they would be out numbered two to one and die. Meanwhile Johnny Mcnoobjaeger is ridge hugging vs 3 sets of guns to his one.....

What a lot of snipers/lrmmers/and other hang back Harrys just don't get is:
You need X amount of mechs to tangle up and hold the enemy for you to work. their needs to be enough mechs there to not die in seconds. YOU need to be in a superior fire position to make every time you fire count, as your shields need you to function or they die. these shields need you to pound enemy hard enough so the enemy's more focused fire does not kill them. Because if four of you are at the back, that's four sets of armour not taking fire. So the poor meat shileds at the front are taking four mechs worth of incoming damage MORE than they should have to. So this alone means the snipers/lrmmers need to be ultra effective.
This is why when in an assault lrm boat I'm usually very near the front line. If I can soak damage too-it helps the rest live longer. So when people rage and berate campers, I can understand it.

I was going to make an insightful, thoughtful response to a post in the general board. Had it all typed out and thought, "Why are you doing this, only 20% of the people will actually read it and only 20% of those will understand it and only 1% of those will make any useful contribution to the thread. All this will result in is more pages of Derpity-derp-derp-derp"

So I just deleted it and left the forum.

I know several women who play and they don't have female names and aren't planning talk in public match VoIP / don't talk in TS unless they know everyone they are with because the slobbering masses + anonymity = serious creepiness
