I have no idea what you are talking about, and frankly i don't care either. If that's your opinion, fine by me. I disagree.
But if you think i do 'wrong positioning' in every match. Then you are flat-out wrong. Sure it happens, one false move and you are dead. It's a thing which can happen to any Assault.
Most of the time i have a legit complain about some stunt like that is being pulled off. Why would i walk at certains points away from lance mates? It heavily depends on the situation. It's a weaponplatform. it's a mixed bag of hardpoints. Not suppose to cruise on his own.
As for the NASCAR goes: It's one of the basic flaws of map design: centralised points and PUG behaviour. Look at the old heatmaps for example. Or notice how this 'old' behaviour is still present in the New Forest Colony. (which if you don't follow the group as a Assault or have no back up you get smoked.)
Because i don't see where this 'lot' comes from. I see you, but not alot. (Perhaps in the past?) If you only would knew it's not about (only) tactical advantages, it's about getting caught up when you get thrown in a full random 12 man team when nobody seems to think of each other. The Atlas has painfully shortcommings in our current gameplay. I agree, other mechs are better at the same job. But i can still deliver a punch with it. It depends what builds is being run. It depends what your playstyle is (agressive, layback, flank for example) Which i agree on the full 12 random rocketeers. This is why i prefer playing in group que with my unit because they know how to support the Assault group in the very least.
One thing always misses most of the time in these matches:
essential information. Nobody wishes to share enemy movement, target information and more. Critical information is often not shared in the solo que. Yes, perhaps a few matches. --> Believe me i have tried communication enough times in the solo que. Often with succes, and many cases not a succes when you get ignored.
Not to mention the amount of gauss spam and laser vomit reached on a critical point right now.
I personally think and in my opinion you are forgetting that the
gameplay has changed. Alot. In
somewhat negative way.
I don't herd like sheeps and go with the meta wh*res.
To put in short: i am not some pugger who is there for the solo. But for the team.
Big difference.
The Atlas is ment to be supported. It dishes out damage as no mans before when its properly supported.
Just fresh off the boat today (exceptional, but 400-600 range is normal when the Atlas gets supported:)
I never pretend to be a pro/comp/mr big ego player or anything. But i know how to pilot, mind you? This is what makes it worth piloting it and a team who knows what he's doing supporting the Assault.
Perhaps i should change my mentality and turn in the usual pugscrub.
Why i am putting myself up to write a post for a guy who has his judgement set already. I am not going to lower myself and point some fingers..
One last note: Do i end up with matches where do about 200 damge? Ofcourse... You still have to deal with 12 random guys. Do i end with matches in 600-800 range? Ofcourse!
(And yes i record and playback my matches to learn from it)
But i would like to thank you anyway, sir.
(But for what's it worth, i do appreciate your advices / tips, please dont feel offended)
