Same whine as long since~

So very much wanting a Free-For-All Deathmatch mode,
eradicating any need to trust "friendlies" to be friendly~

(wholly knowing the whine would then turn to sync drops, but hey...)

Still out of town working....
still can't patch or play...

And the high temp tomorrow is suppose to be 1° farenheit with a wind chill of -20℉

Working outside can be so much fun

Asked today that someone do the MW2 intro over VOIP while we waited for the match to start....the response was, "Huh??"

<sigh>

"This is HQ to any available units. We have mechs down at Nav Gamma. Bravo Cadet reports four Summoners on site. Bandits are hostile. Repeat: Bandits are hostile."

Had that as a ring tone on my Blackberry once upon a time, my boss always freaked out when it went off LoL

QKD-5K seems to be so OP that friendly direwolves seek shelter behind it

And if they even see something red, they rip you a new rear exit

its propably still more fun than playing atm.
assaults stopping in the middle of nowhere, no one doing anything but camping in the rear. i got TKed by a camping king crab while i said that our assaults are useless campers. they all been standing on top of the platform on crimson strait, not one was down.

this aint fun anymore at all with such a complete awkward and bullshit playerbase. i rather work outside than doing this to me anymore.

I read a forum post that made my blood boil with indignation. It also made me realise the mwo playerbase is beyond hope.
This one person boldly stated that if we don't use in game voip we are poor team players. This coming from a confirmed soloist who refused to join a unit, or to use TS or similar.
The sheer disgusting GALL of the guy. It's because of refuse like that, I now have to run TWO sets of voip, with all the confusion that entails.

GG close PGI, your soft spine betrays you.

Ghost Bear's Legacy was "My Game." I enjoyed MW2, but it was GBL that really got me into the game. If the Kodiak had been available when I started I would probably be an assault pilot for Ghost Bear right now. . . ;)

Attitude of playerbase. I've popped on the fourms a few times today, and as of this minute I'm trying to psych myself up to actually play.
The ignorant attitude of some of the pugger/solo portion of the playerbase towards the new voip. I ask an honest question about running two sets of voip (TS+built in) mentioning the fact the in game stuff can be very intrusive to my social chatter on TS. I asked about possible settings in TS to mute the mwo stuff whilst a TS user speaks. What do I get?

Apparently us unit players, who grouped up with other people and made friends, using 3rd party comms to come together are intruding on THEIR games. I mean seriously, what is going on with these people?
Apparently the peeps in units and factions AREN'T the community and we don't matter, because there is less of us (not by the margin they think though) we don't count. Apparently, our enjoyment of the game comes second to the casuals.
I've never come across this special snowflake section of a playerbase before, and I've been online gaming since EQ1.
I am simply flabbergasted.

The question is, why are they bad? Correct me if I'm wrong but MWO isn't on top of the lists, there are no hordes of new players coming in at a steady rate. This means that the majority of both teams at any given time will likely have a number of matches under their belts.

I'm no top player, average at best but after 1 match I knew how to steer my mech, after 10 matches I could get some assists and contribute with a little damage, after 40 matches I still made a lot of mistakes (such as running over a ridge to find myself facing the entire enemy team) by then I felt I contributed at least a bit and even had a handful of kills.

I don't get it.

Have you tried dropping with a group? I'm a member of the Carrion Crows (MRDR), and I've also dropped with the TS Comstar Australian group (Equal Opportunity Destroyers, et. al.), and they're all great guys. If I understand correctly, group drops use a different queue than the PUG queue, and the groups usually work together. It's a great way to mix things up when you get too frustrated with the public queue. I still PUG maybe 70% of the time (due to various factors), but I enjoy the time I spend in the group queues at least as much, if not more.
