and that's my problem with showing them to people. We already have enough E-Peen flailing going on in the forums, but at least people don't take it with any degree of seriousness, but soon as those ranks are made known, people will start smacking them against each other's faces, like no tomorrow.

So much talk in this game has to be ignored though. Ive done it, getting all hot under the collar with players but ive swiftly backpedalled and apologised. As you say a teir one pilot might get a bit high and mighty and not see the need to apologise. At least though if your (generically) half decent in the game you shouldn't be lumped with newbs and so let a lot of the self rightousness wash over.

plus when I've been in the dropship I've been in bay 3 so clearly I must be tier 3 (except for those times I was in bay 4 but those don't count)
oh and for my official whine.
was in a conquest match in commando just after PSR started. decided to see what would happen if I just capped and no combat. I recall seeing somewhere here (patch notes probably) that role warfare would be encouraged so the 0 dmg winning base capper in assault doesn't get a 0 match score since no dmg was done. long story short- I was last mech on my team, we won on points with the other side having 2 mechs left. my match score was 67- well below the people who fought even though I was the one to last long enough (and after the initial rush to the first cap point, the only person capping the whole match) for the win to take place.
sure the rest of the team fought and bought the time for me to do the capping and make sure they were in no position to catch me at the end and should get the credit for that, but I dunno just seemed a bit underwhelming to still be the low match score on the team under those circumstances as last mech standing. thought i'd at least get 100 or so.

I have had enough of it. I haven't unistalled since ages after PGI announced Trannyverse.
Since that implentation of PSR and Russ anedote:
'Takes several days or weeks to settle your PSR.'
It's not litterly one match i am talking about it.
Out of t about 100+ matches i have played i have won about sub par 5-8 matches. My W/L ratio dropped hard. My KDR dropped hard. Everything just went out of the window. Roughly the same dull and stale stomps but then ten fold. I barely can dish out any good damage due all these muppets falling down around me.
Am i saying that i am the carrier? Certainly not. I see other folks in my team having roughly the same thing. Stomp and disconnect. And i am not the only one taking stomps or bad matches in the face. I see other familar names as well sitting in the same boat. And i'm practically always on the losing end.
I don't care about my stats, but i care about teamwork and this is absolutely zero untill i see familar names.
It's seriously taking my fun away.
Yeah, i'm done it. Temporary- or not, unistalled just in case untill i feel the need to install it and give it another try perhaps when the new rebalance kicks in.
I am not wasting my time on this game any longer.

A break should help. I've just come back after 3-4 months off (maybe more, I wasn't keeping track, playing through some DA:I, Witcher 3, et al.) I'm mostly enjoying MWO again, though I probably need to reconnect with my old teams (Carrion Crows & a couple of the guys from EOD) to reduce the usual PUG frustrations. Don't know if I'll stay with it, but it's entertaining for now.

Thanks, but i have had this idea as well for the last couple of hours.
It's extremely frustating. I am trying to give a go at teamwork. I am trying to use VOIP. It gets appreciated, but it feels nobody bothers listening at all. Familar names DO care about for example Assaults and around them. But i had plenty of matches where i see the usual unit tag with laser and gauss slapped on his mech it and just fiddle their own way prentending nothing happened in the back.
I dont pretend to be a pro player but this curb stomping is just getting on my nerves. It's worse then the usual NASCAR or folks who just go solo and proceed to get killed by pressing the W button to deep.
I have ranted in the last couple of days more then the last two years because of teams letting whole teamwork down. Just shortly after this magnificent PSR got implented. Some get great close matches and i get the terrible ones or what? And i am a fairly civilized person.
I just feel it's taking the piss on me and frankly i don't like it that i have to keep playing with either curb stomped to death and gain a lower **speculated** tier or just camp in a corner with my specialised gauss / laser Atlas and try to get even break at all.

Have you tried joining a group? Don't know if it's still this way, but when I used to play regularly, in a group using TS for voice, there was way more chatter and cooperation than the in-game VOIP. Don't know if we won any more games than I do while PUGging, but it felt like we were working together (most of the time). Finding a good group in your timezone with enough membership that you can find people to play with on a regular basis is key, I suppose.

I am and i am having fun. But it's the big fat blue button players who are launching into space with 12 random guys and ask one guy to another if he has a slight idea how to steer a rocket.
All the tools are available but no one has the intelligence. Which by any means i don't want to offend people by saying this.
I am mostly to be found in that same spa.ce trying to steer. Hence the solo que.
I thank you for your concern though. But i think after the last days i have seen enough to make me quit. Temporary till rebalance or perhaps the Mauler whom i are interested in.

OK, sounds like you've given it a fair try. Based upon your 3000+ posts, you've been around here quite a bit longer than me. Good luck, sink your teeth into a new game for awhile, and don't stay away too long! Cheers!

I have seen Lords, Emps, 228, SWOL or whatever people find these 'high' tiers as well. It's the same old crap. They all run 'optimised' builds. Ergo: slap a gauss and lasers and your good to go. Group it up to one or two weapon groups and fire away.
I can't blame them for running that. I don't care either. Balance is still broken at a certain point. Just like the 5-7 ECMs mechs on one team.
Slapped the two weapons on my a RS. Outfitted to camp somewere in the back and proceed to get yelled at for doing nothing. So, that is how it feels ro run that kind of builds. I was already wondering. Easy racking at a certain degree.
Main point is that this game is turning in such a poor state when i see the border between teamwork and stat wh*ring is getting thinner by the day. Like the same folks who are voting 'Full Disclosure' on PSR Polls.

Cheers mate. I will try to remember your name and add you on my list.
No worries i have some good puzzle games to play further. Thalos: principles (Like Portal 1/2 setting) is a amazing puzzle game and such a braincracker. Love it.
