That command wheel is useless.

"Enemy spotted." Yeah, we see the red dot on the map.

only helpful ones I've noticed is the "need help" one. instead of someone typing/saying in chat "HELP ME!" and then having to hit tab to see what the person is piloting then Q to see where said mech is. you can just look for the little triangle with the "!" in it- find it is over 1k away from you and the rest of the team and get back to your regular business.

My in-game coms will be off from now on, so you guys will have to do without my occasionally brilliant pug-herding in QM. I know, very few will be sad about this, some might be overjoyed and most won't care, but this is my whine for today.

It could be worse, like Forest Colony Cataract Simulator.

i actually like forest colony since you can actually do SOMETHING than just fight all the damn time at the bloody plateau.

Now that you saw that, you're right. I think I've only played one game elsewhere on the map. Even then we did it intentionally -- draw them all into the city. That fight was INSANE!!

I dunno the teams i'm on prefer the "let's sneak under the tunnel while the other team comes over the saddle and shoots us all in the backs" tactic.

I almost never see Forest colony though- the only maps in the game for me appear to be- mining collective, HPG manifold and canyon. a light dusting of tourmaline, frozen city and polar for seasoning.

I always pick caldera and terra therma out of spite...

those fights are rare and those i enjoy BUT most of the bloody pugs know nothing else than plateau and they cant even fight it properly.
thats why i simply suicide that map through. i hate it.

i wish ppl would be less focused on cold maps rather than diversity. its not that the other maps are bad, but the players definetly are. they cry for more maps just to not play them anyway.

another reason why this game has so many problems.

even tho they are tier 3 they do not know ANYTHING ELSE besides camping one bloody spot all the damn time. they dont react to uav's, spotted enemies far away from them or anything else.

bloody kids without a plan.

They are easy to herd, sometimes. More often than not, I have to lead a push (did it the other day in an urbie), call out that someone needs to take out a UAV, or instruct people to wagonwheel around a turn. I try to to it quietly, like shoot in the direction of the UAV (I don't usually carry long range stuff), or shift in the direction that they should go. It not 100%, but it helps. Then again, T2 is better at that than T3 at picking up on cues (not by much). I rarely use comms to do it.

On big strategies, you have to tell them verbally at the onset of the match or they run to the middle like kids run to an ice cream truck.

they are not herdable. they are plain stuped 90% of times. they act not only brainless they also act like they should not even play this game.

no need to be nice to anyone.
just had a battle where 3 of 4 assaults could do nothing but die since the team decided to run for minutes in a circle.
i dont need to be nice to people who give a damn about others having a **** time.

New addition to July patch:

Ice cream trucks!

An ice cream truck will now be randomly placed in the center of each map. Capturing the truck will give a random player on the capturing team the opportunity to unlock one Cool Shot 6 consumable for 100 mc. If the capturing team also wins the match the Cool Shot 6 may be replaced by an ice cream cone standing item which melts whenever the mech overheats.

RL whine: my children will not charge electronic devices when the batteries die. Instead, they scrounge around the house searching for a different device that isn't dead yet...then, when they are all dead, it is pandemonium: "She used my iPad until it was dead." "well you had my kindle first"...oi, go read a book or something ;)

New addition to hpg/tourmaline/crimson compulsive voting: effing canyon network again and again and again.
Read this and memorize it, YOU WILL NOT GIT AS GUD AS THE TOURNAMENT TEAM PILOTS BECAUSE YOU VOTE THE MAP THEY USE.

Sometimes the forum or the website of MWO does give important information, sometimes you can even tell PGI something via the forum, sometimes they really do respond to threads.
But the majority off the feedback (the one PGI or this Russ_Bullock guy is listening too, or giving to customers) is handled via Twitter. Why? Just why?
