Im curious? what do you mean by hard questions? and i don't think NGNG is funded my MWO either and also it can be a fun game to spectate. They have been around haven't they? even before MWO was in beta, well going back to when i started watching phil

As for NGNG, it is the price you pay i guess. You are either independent with a capital I like that other show was/is and then have the freedom to take digs and play rough with the object of your desire or you do like NGNG and choose after and more compliant route and get the support of the object of desire. That is how it works... Radio-station slam a artist or publisher, new music comes late (or if you are small enough.. not at all) Gaming-site/Magazine rips a publisher to shreds... No more beta/press-invites or exclusive info.

If you want to both have and eat that cake you need to be so big that they loosed more on not to be seen in your outlet then any negative publicity you will put out.

NGNG do not have enough weight to throw around to be able to ask all the "hard questions" (very often they are not questions at all but just angry demands and snide remarks... )

Well once they quit their jobs to do this full time... at first I was excited, "MORE CONTENT YES!"... but then my reasons for no longer being interested make a little more sense... their success is now tied to the success of MWO... if it goes down they will have to get different jobs.

Anyway, that's enough on that... don't want to change the subject or "trash talk" anyone.

No they are indeed paid
Sean and Bombadil are compensated by IGP for MWO.

How would you know that? not that i don't want to take your word for it but telling me that they are doesn't mean they are? this is 2014 i need proof of that claim, then by all means ill be swayed.

I do know that they support PGI, through merchandise, i still need the answer to the hard questions though

Also could it be possible that they are backed by a community? they do have a lot of supporters

It's the only way I can get through writing them. I live and breath this game, troll the forums, troll twitter, run a merc corps, try to set up big multi-unit events, etc... I keep doing these summaries hoping they'll finally reveal something really cool to us. The information I'm trying to convey by summarizing these interviews SHOULD be revealed in writing by the company. Ask the Devs is dead. There is no community manager or outreach other than through these NGNG interviews. The Dev Blogs and interviews are often released so close to or after the new features are implemented that there is little 'upcoming feature' type information in them. I think, too, that so many of us who've stuck with them from the beginning are just really looking hard to find an indication that we'll be given everything we invested in as founders. Others who have kept up their skills and built up units want to know what it is all for. Is CW going to be just another type of queue, like a group queue with faction flags and loyalty C-bill bonuses? Will we be able to someday reshape the inner sphere through coordinated, multi-unit invasions of other factions and carve our own legacy in a what-if inner sphere? Community Warfare will make or break this game. It will either be in depth, engaging, and meaningful or this game will remain World of Tanks on legs. Whatever you're looking for in the game, we're all waiting eagerly to see if we'll get what we invested in or are hoping for. I can tell you that I would certainly rather read these summaries than write them.

I'll tell you that after hearing the question: would we rather have collisions, knock down, balancing, other content first before CW, he said: Well, if it means that it will give PGI enough time to actually release a superb community warfare model, then maybe it would be worth it. I do believe what I said above: community warfare will make or break this game for the majority of the hard core players. Various death match types can only last so long. Even private lobbies basically set you up for more death matches and the occasional conquest. We need MEANING for all this practice, time and money. So many guys I know are just counting the minutes to CW.

But my answer to Russ is: Even if it adds months to get it out, put 100% of your resources to CW. You can balance stuff and add collisions, melee, VTOLS, tanks, battle armor, and crazy weather effects later.

Oh, and rollback or scale back the LRM speeds, make them hotter or something else... please.

+ its better to teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime than it is to give a man a fish and feed him for a day. That applies to doing something for someone without actually teaching him/her the knowledge they need to do it for themselves.

yea, because everyone on these forums are objective and unbiased. I'm enjoying my Objective argument with with Takadept or at least im being objective while he's throwing in old sayings that i cannot for the life me apply here.

Objective(not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts.) so many people failed that test

(prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.) once again many cant help but mix both of those in their arguments especially if they feel as if they have been personally wrong in a situation in which they created but i will say no more(i guess the forums are better than Facebook, plague of ignorance over there).

This is called up selling. ..

There is no chance in hell that they will release a decent cw within the time frame... so what do you do? Spin it to make it seem that you are doing work that is outside of the original project plan and call them added features. ...

Pgi knows that CW will be one of the few last chances they have to make a push for players... it needs to be polished together with the modules around it...

Take too long and other games will fill the void.... The delay to SC dog fighting module is a god sent for this game....

you didn't present me with facts? you just made a statement not supported by evidence. I gave you a list of supporters which donated just this month, and people have been doing so since way back, don't actually know how long they have been getting donations.

the fact that you are name calling tells me your not being objective and are probably bias because you dislike people who prove you wrong but i implore you, bring me facts other than the toxic that comes from your mouth then maybe you will sway me.

I'm sure NGNG might get some compensation i suppose, but MWO doesn't keep them going, the community does. not only that the questions they ask are always the ones people get so flared up about in the forums. I don't mind being a white knight if that means taking out the garbage.

Sounds like you will attack anyone who doesn't agree with everything you say>? i bet your the type of person in which i can have a wonderful conversation with and even tho the person who doesn't agree with you will get a fair chance to explain their viewpoints and you will never, and i mean never, cast aside their words simply because once again they disagree. I'm sure your character would never permit you to do that, i thank you for always giving me a healthy conversations.
