The first definition of a tangent was "a right line which touches a curve, but which when produced, does not cut it".

The hyperbolic tangent of any extremely large number is 1 (actually it's not exactly 1, it's just very, very close to 1). This is probably not the reason.

I would guess that 11,328,987 is the exact cost of a particular build / mech.
