Hi there,

I have a JM6-S, a JM6-A and a Firebrand, all on Elite level, and 28,000 XP for the JM6-S. And while it receives the Elite efficiency bonus and everything is unlocked, the game does not properly recognize the JM6-S as Elite: I cannot Master it and unlock the additional module slot - it shows the "locked" icon and does not feature the "unlock" button. It also lacks the "Elite"-stripe in the Mechlab screen, confirming that the game somehow does not properly recognize my JM6-S as Elite.

Anyone experienced this and knows how to fix this? I could provide a screenshot of how this looks like in the UI if needed.

Thanks!

Did you try login out and in again ? Sometimes the client fails to refresh data.

I have that problem for weeks already, not just recently. Hence, yes I did log out and in again quite a number of times. But thanks!

In the UI it looks the same as ezzquizo's screen for me - only with a JM6-S on the right side. ;-)

Submit a support ticket then, this is more of a users helping users forum and you clearly need customer support.

Are all 3 variants actively in the inventory? If the answer is no, that is a part of a bug that currently exists in MWO.

If the answer is yes, that is a serious issue.

My understanding so far is that you need at least three chassi variants with the elite slots unlocked in order to be able to unlock the module slot and the abilitity to exchange chassi exp to gxp.
As you only said they where on elite level and didn't specefy if they had everything unlocked aswell, I'm just making sure.

As for that mech not having the "elite" badge, well seems that is a minor issue that might be resolved by a support ticked, but it is nothing I'm experiencing at the moment.

Euklides, you are absolutely right. The support got back to me today and explained that you must have all Elite slots unlocked in two other Mechs of the same weight category, which can be of the same or a different chassis.

I don't have that for Heavies yet, only unlocked all basic skills in other chassis/Jagermech variants. My confusion came from my Mediums, where I did have that without really noticing it and therefore assumed that Master unlocks like Elite when you have all Basic slots unlocked in three variants of the same chassis.

To sum up:
- To unlock Elite slots you need to have all Basic slots unlocked in three variants of the SAME CHASSIS.
- To unlock Master slot you need to have all Elite slots unlocked in three Mechs of the SAME WEIGHT CATEGORY (which can e.g. be one variant of a Jagermech, one variant of a Quickdraw and one variant of a Cataphract - doesn't need to be three variants of the same chassis).

Case closed. :-)

Thanks, guys.

Never mind this, my question was redundant and I can't find the delete button ^^
