That would explain why it's good I guess! It's just to bad that PGI can't make a game as good as what NGNG makes it look to be.

Great first run, fun, and Im looking forward to more. Great effects, voice work, and music. It does leave a little to be desired. It succeeds as homage to very similar game intros but that is also its problem. There is virtually nothing original about it since we've seen the same "scout ambushed by mysterious enemy force" script for decades. What saves it is the excellent voice and sound direction with the exciting build up at the end. It overcomes its old-hatness with characters i.e. the scout and the german-speaking lyran lance. So, well done! More please.

I'm glad you like the quality! All I can say is that the next episode is going to be better in every way.

But I still cannot figure out why you are all thinking that this is a lyran lance? :)

Let's hope MWO will become an even better game in the future, I'm personally thinking that they are doing better right now than ever before, but that doesn't really belong here :)

Will be very interested to see why the Lyrans are attacking an allied pilot here. The FedCom is still a thing right now, unless the video is set in a different timeline than the game, and even then, the Lyrans and Davions are pretty bro-bro.

Since PGI suspended the timeline, for all we know, the video could be from during the FedCom civil war, foolish freebirths.

(Hey, don't look at me. I'd be vatborn if it were an option, but I figure the IS has some decently interesting lore, so I might as well fly some colours for now!)

The NGNG production isn't official though, so this could be from some point of canon, or it could be someone getting the lore really wrong, though the NGNG guys seem pretty good about that. It's hard to say until we get episode two!
