It is honestly, pretty random.
I've had it still logged in 1-2 hours later, when I've gone off to get + eat lunch.
I've had it disconnect inside 10-20 minutes, when I've alt-tabbed out to check somwthing / do research / answer a message

It will not kick you out if you are in the middle of an action like building a mech. Though I've had it not kick me out with just my mech list up as well, so not sure what activities it won't interrupt.
