I would like to see a new module added that is some type of hot wire for the override system. When this module is added to a mech you will never shutdown due to overheating, but all the same penalties for running hot still apply.

Ok but only if the penalties are applied at x1.5

That would lead to a LOT of avoidable death  but also some great draws.

Could possibly be useful on light mechs, where shutting down and getting instagibbed is worse than taking a bit of random internal damage.

I can't imagine it'd be popular though. At best, it's a crutch and a waste of a module slot. At worse, it's a self-destruct and a waste of a module slot. In all cases; better to simply rebind your override key to something easier to push.

What is the point ?
I pretty sure people who want to, MACRO the override button already with a toggle function.
