It's about 30k too low for me to keep caring about this game. At the present, you average MOD is about 3m bills. Some of the good ones (target retention) 6m. Average mech is 12m, heavy runs about 17m. I understand the F2P model (I've paid for this game too). It should not take me 170 OUTSTANDING games in a standard mech to afford another. Thats approximately 20 constant hours of gameplay averaging at least 100Kcb. (which is my current average with a 2.0K/D, mostly in my Muro). My point is, there is jack$hit for incentive to play hard. I might as well run around in an LRM ***** flipping through targets to get my 10 assists and not help the team.

If you want to collect them all, have at it - just don't complain that the game is shit because it's taking you too long.

I usually net 100 to 150k per match 90 matches to buy an assault mech and 20 or so more to it it isn't bad besides i need to elite a bunch of chassis any way :) Though I do wish my income rate was more like 200k per match just to cut the grind time in half but meh i can deal.

I think you got a decent amount of cash with the game's current earnings rate.

That said, the earn rate in this game is painfully slow. If I was just starting out now, I don't know if I'd have the patience to push through it. I've been here since the first parts of closed beta, so I had the opportunity to amass some decent mechs and cash before all the earning nerfs, etc. However, playing a casual 15-20 games a week means I barely earn enough money to buy a new mech (and pay the DHS and ES tax) every 2 months or so. That is a bit ridiculous. And no, I don't suck. My W/L is a bit over 1.0 and my K/D is above 2.0. I'd hate to see what the "average" guy's earn rate is.

After 2 years of playing I don't even look or care how many Cbills I get at the end of a match.
I ask myself did I just have fun playing that match? Yup! Ok then, ready up for next match.

Just think though. If the OP used a cool shot, arti and air, he would net almost nothing after that match. I do agree that the rewards need to go up a bit. 100-150k per match is super low and new or old people do not want to play 100 games to get a new mech. I know that if I were a new player, there is no way I would. Ad Jacob states, "I ask myself did I just have fun plaything that match?" I feel the same but if I were grinding...ouch.

Yes because using the most expensive equipment always pays off after combat! :)

Sorry but 60K is pretty low. 100- 150 is pretty average as far as my gaming of 2 years has shown.

Seems like almost any threat anyone posts about something not being right or overpowered or underpowered, you are one of the first people to jump in and try to debate them on topics. At least, thats what I see.

Isn't that part of what a forum is for? Discussing and debating ideas? I am also one of the first to put in a silly quip or zany notion... :)

Allowing the players that like to collect things a less frustrating experience isn't a bad thing. PGI should want the people that like to collect things to play their game because it means more money for them. Fun is subjective and with so few features in this game after so long the only thing to do is collect mechs, and mess around with builds. The problem is that for a lot of people the time investment just isn't worth it and they are left with the decision to leave or pay more than they are willing.

Like I said above fun is subjective. It is great that you don't care about the earnings you are receiving but that isn't the case for everyone, and if you don't look or care what you are getting why begrudge those that feel it is out of whack? Sure, you can't make everyone happy and there needs to be a limit, but there were a lot less complaints about income before the reduction that came with the introduction of 12v12.

There is also a cultural difference between some posters and others. Maybe it is age, maybe not. But from my culturally biased perspective, looking through my psychological filters, some folks seem to imagine they are made to appear better when other things are made to appear worse. It is easy to tear stuff down so you stand relatively taller. This seems mistaken to me. I think you should become better by improving yourself. This isn't to say that all people with a gripe don't have a point: many certainly do have a point. But some don't, and just diss everything without even considering it relevant whether they could do better.

Like in politics. Everyone seems to expect elected people to be Christ incarnate and are outraged out-of-hand when they prove just as human as you ad me. Similarly with other things. If you couldn't do better, then follow the old saw: "If you can't say anything nice keep your yap shut."

See? Cultural differences.

I like that attitude, too. But I only share it because I got the benefit of 2 years of reasonable earn rates to acquire what I have now. If I only owned 2 mechs and I had to play 10+ hours to get a new one, I'd sh*t bricks in frustration.

Cbill cost of modules are my biggest gripe by FAR compared to anything thats got to do with rewards. Clan mechs have also got me worried since most of their heavy and assault mechs break at about 20-30 million cbills per unit.

Newbies averaging at around 60k per game is not unusual and playing about 100 games to afford a decent heavy seems very off putting to me when you concider upgrades and such.

I generally make about 150k per victory and about 90k per loss with a mech bonus so I'm fine. But then again I've bought most of the IS mechs that I want.

Being as I am Adopted, And did not know my birth parents heredity. It was quite a laugh when my wife found out she had been right all along... She was Polish by injection! :)

Which in context is actually even more amusing when you realize I'm a Purebred Pole from Milwaukee... :)

Astounding! :D

(I had to look up Contrarian to be sure I knew the meaning!... Not only did I know the meaning I am the very definition of the term!)

Here:

Quote

a person who takes a contrary position or attitude;specifically: an investor who buys shares of stock when most others are selling and sells when others are buying
See!
