Clan invasion now with social rewards akin to Phoenix project.
Dammit PGI i'm not going to give my opinion yet but not even an Announcement or Twitter about it... not a way to show improved communication.
P.S: you guys should start the habit to announce first allow to see it later.

He's talking about the same kind of badge used to show you are a Founders, except the Phoenix version of it. It's shown @ the beginning of the match, next to the faction. Yellow badge for Legendary Founders for example...
The thing is... it technically really doesn't need UI 2.0 judging from things, despite the statement that it does... unless it is part of some revamp (I didn't see any during the test).

And while we're on this topic for a moment, it'd be nice if my founders tag didn't stop turning off.

I have friends that are Founders that say the same thing.
I'm not a Founder, so I couldn't vouch even if I could.
Perhaps UI 2.0 will clean this mess up...

The only info about warhorns it's that they seem to be a group bonus thingy they still need to work all it does beyond the theory... (from some Russ twitter)
on an unrelated note the Founder Tag fading seems to be related to the Ingame Options, as far i know if you modify some control tru the options while in match the founder tag may vanish and you need to reactivate it from the Mechlab options. the only know solution seems to never change any Option while on match (i never do and my founder tag never banish)

If they don't announce the rewards, they get called out for not communicating enough.
Since there is going to be negativity no matter what they do, they decided not to announce it. Better to not communicate enough than be perceived as greedy.
Edit: I'll be buying my Warhawk package before the deadline for the first extra reward.

Either way they did it would have brought on forum negativity. They literally cannot avoid it. There is no justification or validation needed, as it is the truth. We all know it as much as they do.

Oh i'm not ******* myself abouts this, i'm quite aware that no matter what or how they do it there is a part of the forums base it's going to raise/flag the Crashgrab attempt
I think some short message on Announcements like *Now ready the early bird/preorder bonuses for clan packs* should be enough just like they did to advise about a 30 sec disconnection on game servers from yesterday(who remained largely unnoticeable for most of the player base).
The whole irony of this is the kind of behaviour we can watch on some players on forums from now on.
-The Crashgrab ppl
-The whiteknights/whales (ironically this ones should already have their pack)
-The Deal grabbers (now with preorder bonus it's something worthy to pay those bucks..)
-The stoics/realist ppl still waiting for UI 2.0 and CW promises delivered to really fund PGI.
Do i miss another player mentality for the F2P offerts?

Well, some of us don't fit those. I'm more than happy paying into this game now, because I'm very much enjoying this game as it is. I know work needs to be done and it's not perfect but it's really the only game I play these days, and I haven't had this much fun in a game in a long time (since Dark Souls came out
Will take a break when I get Dark Souls 2 (my little bro pre-ordered me the collectors edition for christmas!! what a guy
I'll probably buy a Summoner and a Timberwolf just cause those were always my 2 favourites back in the MW2 days (came packaged with my ATI Rage 128
People call it "cash grab" all they want but at the end of the day, PGI is a business not a charity. AFAIK the only stuff you can't get for free in this game is heroes, and cosmetics. So if you truly want to pay no money, you still can have a good time in the game and miss out on very little.
I tend to think of it this way... I used to go out to the bar some nights and easily drop $100+, often more than a couple times a week. (And I wonder why I never had any money!) Add to that my old pack a day + smoking habit... These days I don't smoke and don't drink much, so the 200$ or so I've put into this game over a couple years doesn't seem so expensive at all (plus, it has no hangover, lol!)
EDIT
rambling post, sorry
