Do that with SRMs, but... lead to hit the air in front of the target instead of leading to hit the target.
Alternatively, aim to hit the target and chain fire.
Watch things shred in seconds.
SRMs when fired in bulk cause a number of 'checks' to see if you hit, warping the target for host state rewind in such a way that causes bad detection. Add to this that the server runs on 100 frames per second so anything between 0.01 and 0.02 seconds is lost (which can happen on weird angles especially with lots of missiles causing some to fail to register). Chainfire reduces the checks, allowing much more accurate registration and reduces the chances of between-frame-missile-loss.
Alternatively, by the time the server gets to the checks, the enemy is actually ahead of where you think they are and fired at. While the missiles fly right past the target (client-side effect), massive damage visually erupts all over it. Sometimes with missiles just whizzing right by a Jenner or Commando without even touching it, I'll get many component destructions and a kill message.
Take your pick to make them work until PGI gets around to it. Chain fire or aim for the air ahead of faster targets.
This is actually some great balm onto a medium pilots' wounds, thank you.

Yes, thats the one. I should have been more specific when refering to that, but i just tought anyone that were at least aware of it would know that theres just that missing in there. Right now its just "BUY NOW! Details later... If you buy the wrong mech, its entirely your fault."
I actually just discovered the 'Mech Details' button in the mechlab the other day. It's a shame that that's not what the mechlab actually looks like. It's the best part of UI2.0 IMO
But I guess 72 pictures of engines just tested better. Seriously, fire that person.
Clicking on the Mech should bring up the Mech Details page, clicking on individual sections should bring up what is currently the Mech Lab. Completely backasswards as is.

To be fair, that wasn't there earlier, and was edited in (mod edits don't show up as edits).

Sounds like a roll back to some degree of the LRM speed buff.
Played some games since the patch.
Not much of a change so far regarding effect of LRMs and NARC except the occasional player who complains in General Chat in ALL CAPS about LRMs.
Almost ready to test my NARC theory.
Achievements idea comes from other MMOs but also feel like a prep for a console port version. Probably not be a bad thing if it happened.

Yes, but for mechs we dont own.
Umm it's there for any mech that's purchasable, I'm using it right now. But thanks for the "you're wrong and I'm not listening" typical response

Where then? Because i've searched everywhere on the "Store" tab when selecting a certain buyable chassis and that "Details" button just isnt there, or its not intuitive enough for me to find it. Link me a screenshot of its location, so i can send a support ticket in case i can confirm with other players that theres something broken with my client. In case i cant confirm that, im just feeling prompted to report your post for trolling.

Not in the store tab - but there is a toggle in the mechlab that changes it from mechs you own to purchasable.
As bloody awkward as it is I think I can see why they set it up that way - though I really doubt I could explain it.

Thank you. I pressed every single pixel on my screen untill i found that little black bar on top... preety counter-intuitive. Kinda makes me wonder why the hell they didnt add that to the Store tab as well... =_= Now i know why so many people hate the UI 2.0

First, thanks for the advanced notice and opening up the test servers so we can actually test the stuff for the 15th patch.
- Now for everyone else, you do realize that the test servers are a separate entity from our normal environment.
- And the Dev's could actually drop in as a group outfitted in all Clan Mech's, for quite the Aprils fool joke on us.
~ just saying...
