Based on some previous discussion on other threads consider the following.

Create a faction Challenge weekend tournament where the collective effort determines the winner. Award winners a nifty hanging item or some other honorific. Perhaps a faction color. Make Clans a faction.

No individual MC winners or even a leaderboard of individual scores. In fact no public score display at all until the end (leaderboards for individuals might work here).

Change the formula for scoring and do not announce it. People should orient on winning matches not gaming their scores anyway since this is faction not solo oriented.

Create a special "open queue." If you want a match to count you must use that queue. The open queue can take any size faction tournament group from 1-12 players....with solo players and smaller groups rounding out the less than 12's.

Modify the MM to have it try (not mandatory) to fill teams primarily with faction members of the same type.

Enjoy the mayhem over a long weekend and get some metrics on grouping/solo play and then see if the world stops spinning.

The "open queue" can even just be a special Tournament Queue. Why opt in on a website when you can just select to participate directly in tournaments when available (in both solo and group flavors!)

This actually sounds bloody awesome and might lead to a bit of a reinvestment for some people, who have left the game due to a lack of anything outside of matchplay....

The factional bragging rights this would bring is kind of cool.
