Now it's here and I don't know what to think. 2 SRM6 and 4 MGs would be what I would try to use with this Raven. Even with that you can't fight light mechs and the only thing you might good at would be finishing off heavily wounded mechs at close range.
This Raven just isn't good at all and I think I will be staying with my 2X until something prettier comes along.

I know they want to avoid pay to win accusations, but a lot of the recent heroes have been much worse than free to play options.

I would have preferred a Spider hero to be honest.

Glad a new Hero got released though. Progress is progress even when it's not my particular cup of tea.

x3 mguns
x2 SRM4's or 6's.

Or likely just leg it, glhf.
actually, this, well used, was so close to the anti-ember. If they had allowed for a 3rd missile rack, those 3 SSRMs would have been nice. As is, it's ...gg, close?
(Of course, I called long ago, we would NEVER see a Hero with ECM. If the Raven don't get it, why would anything else?)

also, should pretty clearly be named Nevermore
any idea who Huginn and Muninn were?
Suffice it to say, they well predate EA Poe.
Morrigan, on the other hand would also have been acceptable.

If you had sense, you wouldn't. Looks pretty terrible.
Which makes me sad because I was hoping for something that could actually work as a lurmisher light, for shits and giggles, but it looks like that's never happening.
well, now Light Jocks know how us Hunchy pilots have felt.

and it ain't like there isn't a free to play Raven with ECM already. So this one would be the one time they should not have had to worry.

The paintjob looks neat, but that's not going to be even close to enough to convince me to add a fourth raven to my flock, though.
Realistically speaking, this is an Ember that swaps four energy hardpoints for two missile hardpoints- except that the Ember doesn't have gigantic leg hitboxes that make the mech suicide to use under 200m.
The real plus from this is that it looks like they finally got around to giving the Raven dynamic hardpoints due to the hero, and unlike the last few mechs that have gotten dynamic hardpoints (particularly the Catapult, but the Hunchback too) it looks like this might actually improve the look of the mech. The big question is how PPCs, AC10/LB10, and large lasers are going to look on those arms.
p.s. I see they've given it a sensible max engine rating of 300, instead of the 295 for the 3L; I can only hope they go back and up the engine for the 3Ls by 5, and maybe finally bring the 2X and 3X up from 275; the boost from 245 wasn't nearly enough.

Odin's ravens.
Garth once said Huginn and Muninn were reserved in a discussion about hero ravens. I can't find the post.
Same money says Muninn is either beams and ballistics or beams and missiles.
