Line breaks!

It is poor formatting for one. Only caring about hit registration is another. Matt Craig said they were shooting for April 1st for the server side stuff. I'm tired of waiting and I bet others are too.

Honestly not seeing what you're talking about; the formatting makes it VERY clear that the hit registration stuff will be live on the 15th. The "line breaks" help separate the patch notes for the 1st from the patch notes on the 15th.

It also makes it very clear that both patches for the 1st and the 15th will be in tonight's PT.

Public Test servers went live early so grab the test client and start playing, due to the early start player volume is low so head in and help knock down the wait times.

Woohoo! Got my AWS-9M loaded up with SRMs for the first time in months and looking for a match. Thanks for setting up the PTS while live is down, I know it takes a lot of work.

In the mean time, I'm searching for a match. Hope to see some of you there!

The accounts you are using will reflect your live account as of 10 am PDT, however, to make this all a bit more fun: We have loaded up your Public test accounts with a test-server only boost of:
• 50,000 MC
• 50,000,000 C-bills
• 50,000 GXP

A "boost of"? It overwrote those values instead of adding them.

Live servers will be coming down in 50 minutes as we begin the migration, public test servers are up so if you aren't already grabbing the test client go grab it.

Just a reminder that it does take 30 min to a hour to patch the public test client.

I think I had 11 patches that fired last night. So if your new to the public server or haven't played since the public tests for UI 2.0 and Direct x 11 you still have time to patch up to play at 12:00am.

Been trying to get a game on the test server for over an hour and no luck. It just searches and fails.

I'm really hoping it's a population issue and not an MM issue.

It makes me wonder why the PTS server thing isn't being served as an ad on the frontend launcher (it only has Maintenance, but zero reference to PTS).

Well, I tried patching the test server three times, but it got corrupted each time.

Too bad, I wanted to try SRMs.

You could have used to MWO Repair Tool.

Although, I think the problem is that they didn't update the manifest for the MWO Repair Tool, so it kept thinking the files were corrupt (the same files, if you scan multiple times, even AFTER updating it).

Oh well.. SRMs DID work better... plenty of SRM kills, but still oddly inconsistent and wonky at times.

Paul twitted that because of the long offline period, they will give every player 3 days of PT!

I remember they did something similar when we had to download a 2GB patch or something.

Just a Correction

I wrote that missile speed was changed to 150 when in fact it was changed to 160

Sorry for the mistake

Thanks for the fies and the public test updates. First game this morning went off without a hitch and we saw disconnected players reconnect. Keep up the great work and remember there will always be someone who is not happy with your efforts but most are.

Is this already over? I finally finished updating my laptop's Public Test build and can't seem to connect to the test server. The live shard still has an hour until it's supposed to be back up...

By Missiles do you mean your tweaking LRM's again?
I certainly hope not, considering that they are finally behaving as they should, with speed and guidance as reflected in well over 100 Battletech and Mechwarrior novels. It seems that every patch incorporates some new weapon tweek of the week in one way or the other. The make it up as you go along scenario is really wearing thin. Whether its been your take on (charging Time) for Gauss rifles instead of the effective 31st century point and shoot weapon system reflected in the Battletech Universe. And thus castrating it into 15 tons of junk. And the same goes for LRM which reign supreme upon the 31st century Battlefield. It was nice to see boppers finally including at least one rack of LRM to their Battlemech weapon array. The Battlefield has finally come alive with an interesting balance of firepower and new tatctics. I believe it was stated in the last blog that LRM's were not up for anymore tweaking. I guess the community will see soon enough what we are left with. I just hope that it is not what was before...missile systems that were little more than a step up from the British rockets fielded at Waterloo. Hell, we have better guided missiles in the 21st century then PGI wants to reflect in our MW Universe.
