I never saw the Urbie as phallic, more like an R2 unit mech. I always thought the most phallic mech was a jenner- looks like an erect man from the waist down. Especially the original art for it. That little bubble dome on the cockpit... I'm just glad they reworked the art for MWO.

how about a gamemode where at the start of the match a random player on each team is asked if he wants to be the urbie. if he says yes he becomes the urbie, if no another player is selected. then the rest of the team has to defend their urbie and eliminate the enemie urbie. At time out te team with the urbie at the highest life% wins. it will be called...URBIECIDE.

we could do the same selection action, except only on one team and that team has to escort their 34km/h urbie to a point on the other side of the map.

This is a terrific idea!

Pirahna being a 3051 Clan Battlemech that needs ER Micro Lasers, Heavy Medium Lasers, Heavy Small Lasers, Light Active Probes and Micro Pulse Lasers?

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it, 12 MGs or 12 Micro Pulse on a 20T mech, it'd be the sort of thing I live for, I just don't think we'll get it :(

Meh, who needs variants?

They said that they will consider making some apocryphal variants. However, that is their last resort, and those mechs will most likely not be entered into the game until they run out of others.

with the current torso turn rate decided by the engine size urbie needs something like +1000% torso twist rate.

also PGI could make a funevent for we weekend calling it urbanbattle where everyone drops in a stock urbie and the top 20 palyes get an evolved urbie (IMP) as price.

Has anyone found a medium similar to the Urbie? We have Flashman for Heavy, and Imp for Assault, but no mediums.

This morning I was trudging around river city in a legged spider taking pot shots at enemies around the corners of buildings and doing pretty well and all I could think is "this would be so awesome in an urban mech"

PGI unfortunately.

I honestly rather that the skill tree cost 3 times as much, but was unlocked by the frame, rather than by the variant.

Man, why is the Urbie topic still alive. Wasn't this an April fools joke from last year???
