and i outlined a schemetics of upgrades that would put it on par with a spider or raven. please get this straight...
STOCK URBIES ARE NOT FINAL URBIES YOU WILL NOT BE DOA WITH MWO'S CUSTOMISATION!
oh and immersion, we're not even close to faction specific mechplay, hell we're going to have clan mechs in IS ranks before the clans embed their invasion properly and you don't think locusts and awesomes etc break the team balance ratios? plz argue harder.
seriously urbie haters you can't handle the power of an upgraded urbie, which would be allowed in MWO, the potential is glorious and pgi are fools not to consider it.

heard of the little engine that could? urbie is are very own in the battletech universe, no other mech in exsistance commands as much affection for an underdog as much as urbie does. that's the point for laughs and affection there is none greater than owning your own little urbie

I would love to the Urban Mech myself ingame one day, but this April's Fools joke didn't upset me at all.
I actually liked it.

The only Urbanmech they should have released was the Gold one, and charged $500 for it. Then all of these people whining about the Urbanmech not being released would have something worth actually complaining about...

Which is why Urbanmech would be perfect here since there is NOT a bunch of open-terrain!
Every place has tons of cover, even alpine peaks where one would expect to be worst, isn't that bad, its like a pop tart happy land.
The very worst place I could think of is caustic valley between sigma and theta D3...... And any mech let alone a urbie by itself out in the middle of that valley is dead.
Urbanmech would suck, with pilots who suck.
But pilot would not stay that way, they would eventually lose their cover-blindness.
Urbanmech is guaranteed to teach a person skill. Its a great mech. A fully customized Urbie would be a monsterous light.

well many thought "here comes urbie" but a joke means it was snatched away and forevermore we're without urbie. that's why it's not funny and i'm sure if pgi announced "nerfs don't work we really are deleting victors highlanders etc from the game" you'd understand howit feels we're not getting urbie but are teased to death with this announcment. then some people think it's really cool to pour salt into the wound by saying it should only cost an arm or a leg or not come at all. how would you feel if pgi said we're working on the mauler but we've scrapped the idea you're not getting one, or a king crab only way to have it is $500 a pop, to even think that as a joke or reflection on pgi just re-inforces how bad this situation is. just no, the more i think about this along with the player group limits unless premium and clans...

I'm sorry, but that is just silly. All of you need to stop obsessing over the mech - it's just a mech, and not even a good one.
I get the whole "underdog" thing, but if you want to be the underdog, just never equip any weapons with range over 270 meters, or only equip half of your allowed armor.
I have no problem with them coming out with the Urbanmech - it's just a "cute" light mech - but getting upset because they made an April Fool's joke (and a pretty lame one at that) saying it was going to be available? Come on...
I'm sure it will be available eventually - they have never said it WOULDN'T be, unlike the HG mechs - so get over yourselves and stop pitching a fit about an April Fool's joke...

Any Spider chassis (-K or -D work best), 100 Std Engine, 2 JJ and the biggest guns you can fit. Drop in 10 matches.
Then notice that you are out-performing PUG Assault mechs in both damage, assists and kills...

Why would an urbanmech be useless? You wouldn't be playing it in its stock configuration. Its in game stats are not locked in anywhere, so its entirely possible to make decent builds on the chassis.

plenty of things are silly, ponies, plushies, harry potter but look where the money's at and pgi wannna make a joke out of it. jokes on them dude, unless they suddenly get the real urbies out there then they just slagged off potential customers.
seriously you do not go to texas and say guns are for gays as an april fools, likewise you don't go to a nerd fanbase and say their characters are only jokeworthy. the announcment stinks of being totally outof touch with the playerbase, like the ford company manager at a convention announcing mustangs are crap and no more, you say pgi haven't said no.... well when are they going to say yes to urbie? it's long overdue. firestarter? who was looking forward to that? nice to have but urbies more popular we need it, and they need hero sales better than huggin.
