Clan can sounds nice. But is an urbie an urbie without the armour quirks? Clans are all about fragile frames and lotsa weapons so a clan urbie would probably have no armour quirks and a weapon specific quirk or two instead. On the other hand if a clan urbie can boat 6 or 8 clan heavy lasers..

It could be done but it would have to be done right.

So, I just realized that I can go get a shiny new -68.

Went looking for the confirmation (I'm mobile at the moment), found the patch notes, and realized something else:

I haven't seen a single Black Lanner in any match I've played since coming back from "vacation" last week. If there was one, it was so unremarkable that it went unnoticed.

What an utter and complete bomb of a release. It's been what, a little over two weeks and it may as well be the Black Dodo.

Annnnnnnd now that I've said that, a full lance of them will focus me down next time I'm in match

And I'm hoping we go on mechbay tour after the March patch because Highlander IICs are on sale and I was gonna stick them in mynlast couple bays and wait patiently for my shiny new Urbie-68 ...

Ever since loopala mentioned the Highlander as an urban-defense mech, and rightly pointed out that 2 of them with 2 Urbies made a perfect 240 tons, I'd intended to snag a couple to pre-plan for the advent of Urbie IIC.

loopala said they seemed to do pretty well for him in FP drops when he ran IS versions in field tests.

If the max tonnage ever gets adjusted on a whim, a Highlander or two may be useful on the IS side to mix-and-match tonnage with two Urbies to fit.

Maths:
100(ANH)+100+30(UM)+30=260
100+90(HGN)+30+30=250
90+90+30+30=240
100+75(Imp!)+30+30=235

I know some people like the Stalkers and/or Maulers. I like the idea of the Anihillators and Highlanders. . (Fite Meh!)

Well, we are coming up on the fourth anniversary of the fatefull announcement that drove PGI to contemplate building the urbies.

So any ideas for the last weekend of this month to celebrate the the Urbie Curbby announcement?

not my best game kind of slow till the 2 and a half min mark. team was just to timid. by the time i got my UM-R63 to the front to lead it was game over. i did get a King Crab to back up from the mighty stock urbie...
