Huh - you know something? The next map is a very dense, "urban-style" map.

I'M JUST SAYING....

Even if it sucked (this is not certain: quirks, and MWOcs customization allow substantial improvements) I'd play the ***k out of an urbanmech. I'd (completely seriously here) sell every light I own, and buy all the urbanmechs the moment they were released, even if I had to buy MC to do it.

An Urbanmech hero, well... (Bishop Steiner's Deputy Dawg plz) I'd be all over that like nobodies business.

And I'm an Assault pilot.

Max of:
2 Weapon Modules on UM-R60 & UM-R60L
3 Weapon Modules on UM-R63

Quirks Base:
+32% Torso Twist Speed
312 deg total Torso Twist Range

you still see locusts and it would be more effective then they are at this time.

+500% on sexiness..

I don't even need that other stuff (not saying I'd not take it though!) Anyone driving an Urbie is playing the game for fun, not being tied up with numbers

Realistically, yeah, it probably wouldn't be the best mech in the game. you know what.

Don't give a ***k. It's a freakin' god amongst the culture of battletech, It belongs in the game, even if PGI needs to make it more expensive the thing is a CHEAP mech normally) i woudl love to play in an Urbie only unit.

Shouldn't these be on sale right now? They are manufactured in Capellan space, after all...

This April fool’s joke is expanding at an exponential rate!

Only one hero can save the universe!

And that Hero is Urbie!

Id say the problem with the urbie is pgis max armor system, unlike the engine max, the armor isnt based on stock armor so even though its role is oriented to armor and guns, it wont have any more armor then anything else its size

Why should it have more armour than anything else its size?

No, the problem for PGI is the same that it's always been: The STD 60 engine the Urbie comes with weighs -1.5 tons in their system. Yep, any sub-100 engine in the MWO system has negative weight.

I guess when they created their system they didn't think it through.

No mech in all of BT could hold more max armor than another one with it's same weight. all 100 ton mechs could go the max of 618 (using MWO double armor values), all 50 tonners could go the max of 338. They all had different stock armor values, but you could adjust these when you customized your mech.

That isn't a problem.

[Handwaving] PGI's system merely assumes some parts of the BT system's engines are part of the chassis. As such, using a sufficiently small engine replaces those parts.[/handwaving]

Poof, you can add engines with zero, or even negative weight. The engine has weight, of course, its not magical; but replacing/removing unnecessary structural support results in weight savings.

It also requires a number of external heatsinks that'll make up the weight.

If you look at this handy dandy chart:
Posted Image
The total weight of a 100 engine is really 7 tons.
So -2 internal HS requiring 8 external, combined with the 'core' weight of -1.5T, means a SRD60 Engine would weigh 6.5T total.

I meant for it to be properly effective and fun, not just for it to be in this game. Part of the urban mechs purpose is armor like the weight class above it (stock), but like everything else in this game its intended purpose may be ruined by the fact everything has the same armor of the same size. EX: Thunder bolt and dragon. Both are heavily armored assault mechs (purpose wise not weight class) while jagers and cats are lighlty armored fire support, but in this game they are just small heavies that have the same armor BUT fire support mechs get better hard points since those ARE based on stock load out, same with locust vs other lights.

Quirk: Damage resistance 15% (or increased armor, whatever - see centurions' shield arm)

Done.
