i just figured they didn;t want to announce the urbie because it would overshadow everything else so totally that no one would read past the urbie part.

Of course, the King Crab won't be dropping in any capacity until December 16th, right? I mean, if we bought into a presale at the highest level, we still don't see it until December.

You actually do have a point there. I would probably not pay attention to most other if the Urbie was announced.

This lack of Urbanmech disturbs me. How can we dispose of all the crab shells if we have no trash cans?

Again, all the awards in that appreciation thread are a ways off, except the c-bills, which hit on 9/23. That doesn't state what new mech is dropping now. Don't get me wrong, the King Crab is AWESOME, but we don't get it until the 16th of DECEMBER. So the King Crab is NOT the new mech for September.

Stormcrow (right?) is what's dropping for the Clans, but for the IS...

Not the stormcrow, no. That one we will have to wait another 5 or so weeks for.
Next week the clans should get the Dire Wolf/Daishi.

As for new IS Mechs:
The last 2 hero Mechs where mediums. Before that a light and before that an assault if i remember correctly. All 4 hero variants of Mechs that already existed but had no real hero so far
The only thing really missing there is a heavy in that list.
And the only heavy i can think of that doesn't have a hero is the thunderbolt. So i am just going to guess it will be that one next. I wont mind beeing wrong (dont really like the thunderbolt that much) but it would make some sense.
The only other IS Mechs without hero variants are the Shadowhawk, the Wolverine and the Locust. And after 2 medium heroes i can't imagine them going for ANOTHER.
And i don't even want to think about a Locust Hero. worst selling hero EVER, lol
