The Panther got a 250 max. Urbie could get a 125 max.

Even if PGI gave it 125 max that is not enough to be effective in CW or even to grind for CBills. Also, the urbie can only carrie 1 ton to ammo....

It only has 1T ammo stock, that doesn't mean it can only carry 1T.

3 isn't hard to do.

Ok say its 3. This is not enough for CW or to grind for CBills...

If they allow defenders to reload at some point, it'll be fine.

If not, well, it's not like it's the only mech ill suited for CW.

I am a urbie fan. If PGI changes the layout/configuration of the urgie then its not truly the urgie we all love. Might as well create a new mech - but wait...we have the spider, firestarter, Locust, and other lights that PGI would have to turn the urgie into in-order for it to compete in CW...

Remember this ain't the TT and we can literraly change everything we want on the Urban mech.

Heck, we could create a Urbanmech with a PPC.

Urbie love has nothing to do with CW or grinding for Cbills...

It's about being the underdog and the butt of every joke and having a fun time bantering with other players. It's about playing the game how you want to play, and not what is currently top tier or meta. It's about taking down something three times your size and having all parties involved thinking it's absolutely funny.

You would pay for a mech that only carries 1 ton of ammo?

Do you know there is a tool in the game called mechlab, don't you?

I agree, but at the end of the day you need money/cbills to buy things...the urbie is not equip to grind for cbills..

What does this have to do with carrying enough ammo to be effective/grind for cbills???

I dont think it'll be a lot.

$20 if in a pack with bays, premium time, colours and cockpit items.

Around 3000mc or 5-6,000,000c-bills for the 3 standard variants (plus mech bays).

2250mc for a Hero variant.
20 bucks would be quite a bit for such a limited 'mech.

But, I'd pay 20.

Do you not have any SOUL?!?!?

You play the Urbie for the sheer joy of piloting it!

The fun you'll have making fun of the pilots you've killed in your Urbie.

Also, think of all the cool Urbie centric challenges that PGI could whip up.

Challenge: Kill 4 or more Urbies in one match, win a chance in the grab bag.
Get 1 or more kills in an Urbie, win a chance in the grab bag...

Whatever...

Plus all the other play made competitions... An all Urbie 12v12 competition, in AP, or whatever, hilarious!

Last time I checked, Lasers Didn't need ammo.

Tell that story to my Locust 1E. Makes C-Bills just fine.

This is why PGI should not bring out the urbie. Yes, I play this game to have fun with friends, but I am a serious player and I (and a lot of other players) don't want this game to turn into a kiddy, kiddy game...

To my point. We have urban mechs already (locust, etc). PGI does not need to bring out a mech that is under powered. My locust will outperform the urbie...

So don't buy one and if you see one drop with or against you, feel free to disconnect.

I believe in more options the better, even when some options are BAD options it's better than NO options.

I don't know the urbie version of the spider isn't half bad... At least not in pug matches.

Every Mech, has its Mirror in this game to some form or another.
Why would you want to ruin the possibility of having something Iconic???
Thats like saying why have the Uziel , when we have the Ryoken since the Ryoken can do everything the Uziel can.
There comes a point where it is the Symbol of what something is. Human Nature is based very closely to symbology, thus our need for things like this.

I have idea what you are trying to say. Lets focus on mechs with better technology (Year 3050 and beyond) and not one's that are under powered like the urbie...

P.S. I do love the URBIE!

HOW ******* DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF DRINKING A LITTLE!!!

When I drink, I drink A LOT...

Anyway, that faux tirade aside... Because my hope for this game is to eventually have every 'mech from every TRO available for play.

The Good, the bad, AND the Urbie...

I was kinda hoping we could have AI industrialmechs or if melee is implemented some rogue forestry mechs :)

And don't get me started on primitive/retromechs!

Think about how cool it would be if you actually had to manage your fuel for an ICE powered mech? Burn too much and your outta gas before matches end!

Slap an XL and Endo in it and it can carry more than 1 ton. Sure, if you want to run it stock, it can only carry 1, but who runs their mechs completely stock in this game?

And an Urbie doesn't have to be fast: it's for point-defense. Put it at gamma or the generators and the enemies have to come to it. It's just an extra AC10 or 20 out there on the field, and in a hard-to-hit package, especially when you're looking at that King Crab or Atlas or Highlander.

..and the match ends and the poor urbie pilot gets maybe 50 cbills and XP.
