The Urbie's main role is more urban combat and defense and less butchering the peasants, although labor riots (and disproportionately harsh retributions) seem to be not uncommon with Clan lower castes. They do have dedicated law enforcement/military police, even if usually staffed by frustrated lower-ranked warriors who'd rather beat the population into submission.

I see . Hmmm , you guys understand , that you are asking PGI to release a 30 ton assault battle mech that can field Clan weapons yet is fully customizable

Not me . Why would you want to obsolete the Urban mech , a unique IS chasis . Clan omni mechs and their alien design and light weapons are what attract me to clans . Old looking tech , fully customizable battlemechs are what make IS cool .

I love my marauder but my IS marauder is both no longer unique and is obsolete by hybrid IIC enjoying the best of both worlds namely fully custom capable mech mounting light clan weapons enjoyed only by clan players .

Same argument with Urbie .


Whatever happened to the concept of salvaging a Clan mech and weapons and using it against clans ?

I would love a supply cache that coughs out a an omni mech part or better yet a clan mech that my IS account could play with in a FP game considering the low chance of even scoring a full mech . That would seriously boost supply cache key sales in my opinion .

For the event, you can use any mech you want (except for the 500 dmg in an urbie challenge).

Now why you would ever want to use a non-urbie is beyond me
