I am running ily with 3uac5 for last days and i got a pretty good feeling about how uac5 fire and jam...yesterday after the patch i played some games and it felt like they are much worse..jamming much faster and unjamming harder.

So - question - juts because I know that you PGI are not always telling all the changes you do in a patch - did you changed anything in UAC mecanichs ? anyone else noticed what i am saying or i am wrong ?

thanks.

The Trial Victor is useless... Ultra jam hell and no AMS. No AMS as all trial mechs !!!

Random means random. If you hold fire, you may get awesome sustained DPS, or you may get lots of jams. That is why UAC5s work best for burst fire -- shoot and scoot, not turret mode.

no no no...i have hundreds of games with ily and with uac5. something changed. i played ily for last 2 weeks or so to grind cbills and i have a pretty good grasp of how uac5 worked before the patch. now i got only some games so i may be wrong ..will have more today..but something feels different...so i wonder if others felt the same.

If anything, the ability to tap shots to get a better chance of firing without a jam has been reduced silently.

Usually, if you hold down the firebutton, you're pretty much guaranteed jams, consistently.
Tapping and timing the shots, or stagger fire with alternate groups, example being 1 UAC5 on left and right arms each with their own group would somehow lower your odds.

Dunno, I've pretty much dropped using the UAC5 completely because of the randomness of it, it always failed me when I needed it most.

AC-5 being much more reliable, also reserves you 2 tons less that can be put into ammo you know will fire when you need it to, or heatsinks or other equipment.

I took the trial VTR out last night on a test run. Had 3 kills in it and about 350 damage. I don't think I jammed once during the entire match, but I use UAC judiciously. In fact I liked the UAC so much, I changed out my ILYA AC/5s to UAC/5s after that match. I think I jammed after every 4 or 5 shots in the ILYA. I don't think anything changed. It's just the randomness of the UAC.

Yeah Asmosis you're getting very few jams, surprisingly few, but seems pretty typical as you're timing your shots well.

Pretty crazy build with 4 UAC-5, lol. Still trying to figure out how you packed so much ammo in that beast

Thats alot of firepower too, 40 potential damage every 1.5 seconds if grouped.

UAC-5 as a single weapon is still very risky to use, only boating 2 or more makes it a reliable weapon.

As far as I can tell he's not jamming as often because he is firing in 2 groups of 2 UAC5 in each group and using chain fire in both groups.

Not aware of any changes to UAC jam rates or weapon fire rates, but we'll keep an eye out for issues.

It doesn't really matter if you fire the UAC5 constantly or selective, everytime it fires there is a 20% chance to jam, even on the very first shot with a single pull of the trigger. It's just pure randomness.

Has anybody any contradicting data apart from "I think..." or "someone said..." ?

i have runned it for more games yesterday and seemed normal. compared with the day before it was a big difference. now i know that the jam is random..but to torture you for 5 games in a row ...that is not random, its pure evil :D
