Guys covered it all, i like to run 2 gausses with TAG(Laser sights) for each gun + ERPPC, but thats living on the edge.

Speaking of your build, i love how you run low armour on one leg. I do that on arms, 50% chance it gets shot off, good odds. Some build have arms that are ment to be shot off, because "pfff you can have that medium laser"

Many of these builds don't have CASE. I don't know the conditions that cause ammo to explode internally but the idea worries me. Like putting lots of AC20 ammo in the legs but with no case SOUNDS like a recipie for disaster. Am I wrong?

You are correct, builds without C.A.S.E. are asking for trouble... if something manages to breach the armor and get a critical hit specifically on the ammo before the ammo is spent. By putting ammo in less-hit locations and surrounding it with other stuff to soak possible critical hits (like jump jets or heatsinks), twisting to spread damage to still-armored locations, not having tons of spare ammo (depends on playstyle), and finally, firing your weapons, you can alleviate a lot of the risk.

If a build is set up for going in hot, C.A.S.E. may well save you from blowing up early, which is why I think it makes sense on the AC20+4xML Cataphract. I would not worry about it in a medium- to long-range build, designed to jump and fire while constantly keeping distance, e.g. 2xPPC+AC5+2xML.

Gray,
Since you're new to the game, I would like to be the first to invite you to think about joining a guild, specifically ours, the Seraphim Regimental Combat Team. We pride ourselves on trying to help new players learn how to play and have fun doing it. We are actively recruiting and the commitment is as much as you want to put in, although you do get to reap the benefits of joining a company in the regiment. Our biggest rule is that we don't allow profanity or griefing as we have kids as young as eight playing with us. (Some of them are our best pilots!) Check us out here:
