You did create this thread to present how people could game the system to screw over the solo PUG queue with pre made teams larger than the queue is designed for.

True

You did say in this thread that if Solo PUG's don't like it they can leave the game and won't be missed.

You did portray Solo PUG players as mindless drool that you never want to sully your feet playing with, but you're quite happy for them to be cannon fodder for your pre made team on the other side.

Yup, with no real tie to the rest of my team, they're little more that AI, the difference being that AI won't shoot MLAS over 540m or LRMs under 180

You can paint yourself in nice self righteous light as much as you want, but I suspect most people won't miss you at all in whichever queue you eventually play.

Now if I was to apply your standards, I'd make some smart alec remark about having to force feed you info or how perpetually dense you must be to not recall your own words.

Fortunately, I'm not that cheap

Of course, now you'll say thats not really what you meant or some other tangent argument (or maybe even it's my fault for mis reading) or even better, you only posted that to stimulate discussion cause you know, you did that in this very thread once a few people showed you that you were wrong.

If I was even cheaper, I'd link to the "Don't you hate it when your words come back to slap you in the face" acqusation pointed at me, but I can't sink quite that low.

Nah, I just forgot that one.
I'll have to remember it the next time someone cries about how the Evil Premade Boogeyman ate their baby.

Regardless, I thought I put this thread to bed a couple pages ago when I pointed out Karl's post that we may, in fact, be getting a group queue afterall (or at least rewards in private matches, either way satisfying the 5-11 crowd)

For you, someone who *claims* to play in a group that is often forced to split because of the 4 cap. Is something you should be happy about.

But you keep on keeping on with your absurd little quips, which tells me, that any statement you made about being sympathetic to the plight of the 5-11 crowd was a bit disingenuous.

"How to Troll Effectivily" - by Roadbeer

1) Teach Pre made teams how to eat babies
2) Participate with Pre made teams eating babies
3) Wait for baby owners to complain about babies being eaten
4) Laugh at baby owners and tell them they never should have had babies if they wanted to play this game
5) Tell baby owners they're d/bags for complaining and it's all their fault

Copyright it man, millions just begging to be made right there

Yes, clearly I'm disingenious if you keep referring to me and mis representing me and I dare to correct you (see above)

The 4 player group will take maximum weight, because well, why would we want to give that firepower to PUGs. So the group will be 3A and 1H.

The "solos" will now take whatever mech they want, though it'll be safe to assume that they'll take the maximum weight still open, so "Solo" 1 & 2 bring heavy and "Solo" 3 will bring a medium or light.

Iam not in the mood to read the whole thread, dont know if someone mentioned it until now ...

When do you think, will pgi restrict groups to 1/1/1/1 if they try to exploit the system like that?
1 Month? 2? Maybe 3 after launch?

Last time the groups exploited the system to much, they where hammered down to 4 or 12, do you really think they have throwen the sledgehammer away and will let you drive the majority of their players away?

And some wonder why premades have a bad reputation ...

I doubt PGI would restrict groups to 1/1/1/1, the outcry would be horrendous (I think groups would lose players over it as well). Also, PGI stated in the Launch Module post that they'd decided against weight limits for groups because it would limit the ability of people to play together with the mechs they both wanted (I think in Paul's example he mentions two friends both wanting to use Atlases together).

Also, premades weren't exploiting the system back when groups of 8 were allowed to drop together in PUGs - that was a mechanic of the game, not a system of exploitation. I really don't see how it could be considered an exploit when it was fundamental to the game at the time.

I agree completely, 1/1/1/1 group comp would be horrific in its implications even if it seems like a nice idea on the surface.

I also agree that the 8-man groups dropping in the pug queues back when the system allowed it were not exploiting, and the grief that came as a result of it came from poor game design rather than any negative action of the 8-man groups. They were following the rules and using the system as it had been intended to be used.

Must have hit pretty close to the mark if you are still going on about that comment from what... page 27... with no follow up from me I'll add. Weakness is weakness LOL LOL I am laughing so hard at you right now, and it's not a nice lets go to the pub and have a beer laugh. So tell me, this guy who you were "Teaching" to play BT, the one who landed a headshot at 10 hexes. Did you actually introduce him to the entire team aspect of this game or are you one of those who didn't grasp the fullness of what Mechwarrior was in the TT BT universe and only put down 1 or 2 paper maps with 1 mech on each end and played it 1v1. It could be a big reveal so make sure you get the answer right.

Stop trying to be clever. As obnoxious as they are sometimes, Roadbeer and Sandpit are way better at it. Leave the trolling to the big boys and try to be constructive. You're not cut out for trolling.

Exhibit A
Short and sweet
Insightful
Either true or difficult to discern falsehood
No name calling or annoying tone
No imaginary stories required

This is trolling. What you did... well, it just can't measure up.

Well if it can't measure up then it's obviously not trolling then is it
