So I know the flamer kind of falls through the cracks around here, but seriously, where's the love for what should be a face-meltingly fun weapon to use? It just seems screwed up to me that at this point we've had the Firestarter for months, but the idea of putting flamers on it would get you laughed out of a server.

So then I remembered something Russ said a few months ago: "a flamer tweak is coming soon, should help more. Its a process."

So how's the flamer tweak coming along? Did that fall by the wayside? What's happening to the worst weapon in MWO these days?

You heard the man. Ditch the flamers and use lasers. One ton weapon exchanged for another one ton weapon. Balance achieved!

I've been here since closed beta. I'm just trying not to give up hope. :[

The flamer has always been a niche weapon, but in past MW titles (MW2 especially) it's been a GOOD niche weapon.

In low cap high disipation system flamers, plasma rifles and inferno rounds would shine, just imagine them applying up to 30% heat cap penalty for a brief time reducing your ability to alpha strike, same could apply to jjets, oh well, one can dream, right?
