Did you click on the "skills" tab then click on "pilot trees" to unlock the module first?
After unlocking it, you then need to buy the module, IIRC it is 3.0 million c-bills then equip on the mech you want to use it on.

You sure you have enough c-bills? They cost like 2 million.

To answer everyone at once. The pilot trees tab in the skills tab doesn't show any where. I have found the mech tree, but no pilot tree tab. Its probably right in fro of my nose and I have looked multiple times, but could someone give a description just in case.
I have 5 mil c bills and sufficient gxp and mxp.
I'll watch my self on my spending, thanks for the tip.
Thanks everyone

Don't have a screeshot ready (I'm at work ), but if I'm not mistaken, you should find the Pilot-Skills here:
Skills (Top of Mainscreen)
-> on the far left (Screenborder) there is a "vertical tab" navigation
-> -> the upper option is the Mech-tree which is open per default
-> -> the lower option should be the pilot skill tree

You need to click skills at the top, then go to 'pilot tree.' You'll find the option to research the modules for XP there.
Then, you need to go to the Mechlab, select a mech and click on 'Module' on the side. You can then purchase that unlocked module for C-Bills.

Sure thing! At least you realized you need GXP AND Cbills to buy one...nothing sucks worse than telling someone that while they 'researched it' they don't have the money to actually BUY one!
