Legs look a little large compared to the rest of it, but still looking good. Stays true to the original with a nice MWO spin on it.

agreed. it looks like it just need the legs to be resized to a little smaller size to match the model.

I was certain in MW4 it was symmetrical but ok

MW4? Man, no hardpoint layout in MW4 is real.

I must be the only one who is more concerned with the lore mistakes in the announcement than the silly reveal pictures. Phelan Kell wasn't the CO of the Kell Hounds on the Rock.

I love all the leg comments. You can tell the people that know nothing about foreshortening and perspective.

The torso size is obviously a compromise to offset the "ears" being part of the torso. Hope it balances out.

Can't wait to see my Dire Wolf now!

Blowing out the side torso's is going to be fun. How on earth will a timber wolf twist to cover to avoid having one blown out... those things are HUGE. At least the Catapult has them on the arms, and doesn't lose the side torso at the same time.

Granted with a Clan XL and no engine crits you need to kill both sides to bring it down... but I don't really think it'll be able to twist to avoid damage to those things... and the armor there is going to be thinner than the CT... won't kill but will turn a 75ton heavy mech into a 50 ton medium mech pretty quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I want one. I just don't think I'm going to have the want to plunk down the 55$ even for it.

Clanners don't torso twist. They twist you.

I'm not trolling or having a go, BUT, I really think the legs look way to large for the rest of the mech. Hard to be certain from the 2 angles shown, a proper front and side shot would help see it properly, not a poser shot. Any chance of seeing the actual mech standing at ease from those angles, not its acting substitute? Unless your not after comment or feedback of course.

I second this. Legs look a little funky from those angles. I need some more view angles before I decide to buy this mech pack.

I like it alot! The legs are not an issue and I like that the torso isn't HUGE. That will make it very survivable in combat.

Well done!

WHAT?!
SERIOUSLY? ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?!
... Ho gosh...
He IS...

Well...

Let me explain: because I can't understand how people could possibly agree with that look.

The Look of the mech come from that incredible mix of armement pod and these arm, combined with the incredible movement style of the Timber Wolf GAVED BY THE FREAKING BIRD'S LEGS.

Replacing the Leg's of the Timber Wolf by one more "straight" and NOT angled is like removing the skull head of the Atlas, or the R2D2 look of the Urbanmech!

It would be like StarWars with out blaster and Lightsaber!

Like startrek with out phaser and spaceship!

It would be like Metroid with out Ridley!

It would be like Mario with out muschroom!

EVEN WITH THE GROUND VISION.
It is CLEAR that the leg's are f*cked up!
They are TOO DAMN TALL! And look's nothing like Timber Wolf legs!

WE NEED ANGLED LEG'S! IT'S PART OF THE HISTORY OF BATTLETECH/MECHWARRIOR!

Better yet, a teaser game play video!

Cool

I just hope the screens in this mech work. The Inner Sphere haven't found the data cable for my monitors in my 30+ other mechs.

To put my 2 cents in with the crowd. Legs are jacked up. They look too bulky, too tall, and they do not convey the reverse knee architecture that they should have.
Take the legs off the Catapult, and slap those on it, and it will be perfect. What is on it now really makes me completely averse to ever purchasing that mech, either with MC or C-bills.

And... Phelan Kell was the equivalent of a Private in the Kell Hounds at that point in time. He was a misfit that was almost removed from piloting, and never took a leadership role in the Kell Hounds.

Get to lore checking... Wikipedia could have found that.

i don't know about the rest of you, but i find the asymmetry of the ballistics in 1 side-torso and the center-torso, and an energy in the other side-torso annoying.

can this please be fixed?

Legs? Compared to MW3 and MW4 yes they seem more unusually leg-endowed but compared to past art work where the legs are nearly giraffe-like, they are conservative. Also, the up angle, almost fish-eyed angle the pics were taken adds length to the legths and brevity to the nose. Straight on it look more proportional.

I think it looks BADA$$. MWO mech design team has once again reenvisioned with unprecidented detail and mechanical believability. They made the best looking mech, most iconic mech in canon even better. Great job.
