exactly... notice the difference in thickness between lower and upper leg limbs... (which can be seen with naked eye even from this angle with this specific FOV )
again, the design is ok... upper leg needs to get smaller (by about 10%) and the mech should crouch more in the idle stance.

As for MW2/MW3 ones - while they were cool at the time, their design wouldn't really work with MWO one. Best case - it would be immersion-breaking out of place, worst one - downright silly.
As of MW:LL - it's really fun mod, but mech design was lackluster, compared not only with MWO, but even with MW4. Not to mention that MW:LL was targeted for much narrower audience than MWO is, and I'd rather have some more people getting to love BT through MWO, than being scared off by silly/out-of-place designs thrown in to satisfy few people's nostalgia for 90s.
Yeah but the Timber Wolf is famous in part by his incredible looking Bird's legs!
It was a combination of Marauder arm, wirth the Catapult "ear's" and legs giving him a quick and nimble look!
PGI completly ruined it that. I hope the walking animation will be close enought from the "classic" T.Wolf walking style.
But People's are disapointed.
The last picture is pretty nice.
I AM Disapointed on his look.
But I can't wait to pilot that thing...

Weapon pods need to be a big longer imho.

the legs are huge and the torsos tinny . why because Mech art interacts with mech survivability.
That needs to be addressed in the game design.

Sadly no Community Warfare still means no spending. At least for me.
I am interested to see some of the other Clan mechs with in-game screen shots.
Looks like it translated pretty good otherwise. The missile racks are still a concern. Will they be linked with the arms or side torso's?

This is the first time I see a Mad Cat that takes a bit of mental effort to recognize as a Mad Cat.
Why?

this is it !
for the whiners ...
if this screenshot would have been the first Catapult-screenshot, the same whiners would whine the same whining-way as they do here in this whining-thread
nothing more to say, thx for this pic

All the current MW:O designs have been changed in such a way, so it is fine. just let go of your nostalgia and enjoy the new designs
Because everybody was of course expecting something like the original design..

This better mean we are getting a Marauder...
This. Even if it's the Reseen version, I'd still take it just for the hell of having a Marauder in the first place. =u=
As for the Timber Wolf, it looks blocky enough to look like the Wolves took over a Sphereoid production facility or two and started manufacturing them there--kinda like how the Ghost Bears' Mad Dogs produced in Bergan Industries' Alshain Plant look different from the Mad Dogs produced back in the Clan Homeworlds. This would be fine if we were currently in the mid-to-late 3060s, but right now we're in 3049--absurd explanation for this would be that the Wolves-in-Exile discovered some of Doctor Who's technology circa 3067, somehow managed to cram an Arc-Royal-manufactured Timby into a TARDIS, and send that back into 3049 despite Timbies not even being manufactured on Arc-Royal in the first place. o.O

Your saying you don't immediately recognize that as a Timber Wolf? Aside from the legs it's pretty much spot on.

I'll wait till its in game to judge further. For right now I have a few things that bother me (Legs still look too much like cataphract. Why can't we get the distinctive "leg nub" on the back of the legs like the raven's and other mech's have? Its pretty well known on the Mad cat. Feet look like stubs instead of talons.) But beyond the few minor gripes, I think the overall body and arms are good.
Yeah they are stubby and bulky compared to the original, but stubby is good for hit box balance, and Bulky makes it actually FEEL like a 75 ton mech. I love the original, but even I will admit it was TOO sleek for the weight class it was supposed to represent (especially for a mech with Max armor for its tonnage.)
