I have >12000 matches, >xxxx matches in conquest and this happens in 1 of 1000 games, is not worth a second of Dev-Time and i would not even feel embarassed bcs at the end of the day its a funny anecdote.

This is because rightfully so blobbing on conquest isn't an instant win and why it is the best game mode by far.. A well deserved loss if you had a 1 mech advantage.

Out of curiosity, was this a case of the disco being the "alive" or the last guy dying while earning resources and just as the final point ticked over? The latter, I've seen. I was spectating and watched our last guy die at 749, then the EOM screen came up with all of us dead and a win.

This disco counts as being "alive" - I've had this happen a few times. It's hilarious every time.

And that's the problem - Disconnects should be counted as dead.

Sure, discos only win matches rarely - although I have lost a match to this on Conquest and it is garbage - but it is far more common for people to have to waste their time hunting down the last disconnect since that can happen on any game mode and is required to win the game (unless you just wait for the time to end.)

This is a bug - I'm pretty sure disconnects used to count as dead several months back - and it should be fixed since it just looks sloppy.

They did used to count as dead (IE: the match would end if only disconnects were left alive), I'm not entirely sure when it changed. I agree that it should be fixed as it negatively affects gameplay by needlessly drawing out matches (IMO).

Basically we made a last push to take Epsilon, kicked I think 3 mechs off of it, chased down the survivor and killed him. We had 4/5 points capped but Sigma was still full red. A few went off to try and find the disco and the rest of us headed for Sigma. Never found the disco, and we had Sigma down to about half when we finally lost. He was a disconnect from the beginning of the match.

I posted it because it was both frustrating and funny. Yes, I think it is a PGI derp, but I'm not screaming for fixes. It's an obvious hole though.
