Hello Seraphim,

Making a real time ladder league built into a MSN Gaming Zone style lobby was a dream of mine as well. Unfortunately, I think the love for lobbies and ladder leagues died with Mechwarrior 3 and 4.

I'm still trying some avenues to get the word out and to get units to participate but unfortunately nothing has worked out. If you feel strongly about the lobby and want to help then spread the word and try to get others to join in and compete. The lobby can be used for many purposes besides just its ladder league. It could be a great junction for other leagues, tournaments or just for finding other players to drop with but, right now, it's mostly a ghost town.

Just talked to 5 teams on NGNG, none had heard of mwolobby.com. Spread the word, check it out, support the site, let's blow sh*t up.

But brother MWO just hasnt got a big enough core player base, the old Mechers just are not staying with it.
PGI wanted a casual CoD kid population and thats what they got by the look of it.
Within weeks of the founders packs going up for sale i had hundreds of friends playing MWO, they all got Founders, these were dedicated long time MW core fans, i think 2 or 3 log on at times these days..

So get those hundreds in your e-mail and tell them the ladder leagues are back man! Lets bring this thing to life.

You goto realize that the bulk of these people are lets call them Mature people, they are not looking at playing the game to get on a ladder based on drop after drop in a FPS. They are looking to work Strategies, tactics, work with and against other such minded groups to shape a map, to out smart, out plan,to conquer.
Not saying Ladders are not good, just not really suitable as a thinking mans game..
Just dropping over and over and over again on same maps to see some number beside your name or K/D change gets old very fast for a lot of people. Which is why they are gone..

To me it's the strategy based competition that is enabled in less than 12 v 12's that intrigues me. I've played since I was 12, I'm now 30, have two kids, demanding career, working on masters. I like to think I enjoy a "thinking man's game" personally. No one has tried it yet is the problem, if everyone made the attempt I believe it'd take off.

My hope anyway.

all you have to do is try and you will love it again, part of the fun is litterly talking crap to each other , having a great game with your friends then starting over again .

SO! It's been a long time since I've posted, real life has been pretty busy this summer, but I want to let people know that the MWOLOBBY.com Ladder League has started.

Get all your buddies together to form a unit and jump on the lobby to get some 1v1 all the way through 12v12 ladder action! It's a great way to get into competitive play for newbies and vets alike. Also there are lots of cool lobbby people to chat with 24/7.

I've been play MWO for a while now and I'm just seeing this website for the first time. I'd love to create an account there but my browser is blocking the site with this error message:
