Next time I hope you guys could split semi-finals and finals.
It is just "no no" if you have girlfriend or other social life and it goes like
"first play about hour, then wait 2 hour and play 1 hour more..."
I love that kind of tournament, but guys.. seriously, there are some competive players who still have a life.
Best regards

The groupings are based on the points achieved, every round also functions as seeding for the next round. It just happens that your points placed you back in a group with them.

I dont know where you personally are from. But in Finland the very Grand Finale will start around 12pm and will end in 1am.
There is just noch changing to the times since we had players from all over the world, I need to find times where everyone is able to play.
Additionally there is not "but guys", there is only "but Klappspaten" and I am going in the 4th Satturday only comitted to this tournament. I wont split a 3 hour finale and make a fifth out of it, I got a personal life too, you know.

e.g. round x will have 4winners. 2 teams with 10 points and 2 teams with 15 points.
then in the next round will it be the 10p vs 10p and 15p vs 15p or is it 10p vs 15p each?

However the finals are going to be in dual elimination.
In the first drop of the finals the team with the most points will drop against the team with the second fewest points, the team with the second most points will drop against the team with the fewest points.
After that we will have a drop where winner fights winner and loser fights loser.
The winners of those matches will fight for first and second place and the losers of those matches will fight for third and fourth.
By then we have a team in the winners match that hasnt lost a single match in the finals so far, which will have to be beaten twice, because every team in the finals can survive one single loss.
Its a bit complicated but it is the most fair way to do it. Plus we get a lot of fun matches out of it.

Let's have a slow motion replay from this?
We have winner from the 1st vs 3rd and winner from 2nd vs 4th. The winner of this "winners" match will be overall #1? So who is then beating them twice and in which point they can lose a match?
Or is the "winners" match best out of three?
Then back to studio and weather.

We will have 4 Teams who will get into the final round. So for example:
Team #1 has 12 points
Team #2 has 11 points
Team #3 has 10 points
Team #4 has 9 points
In the first drop of the finals we will have two matches, team #1 with 12 points will fight against team #3 with 10 points and team #2 with 11 points will fight team #4 with 9 points.
In the second Drop the winners and the losers of those matches will fight each other. Lets say teams #1 and #4 have won, so #1 and #4 fight each other and #2 and #3 fight each other.
Then lets say teams #4 and #2 win, so in the third drop #4 fights against #2 for the first and second place and #1 fights against #3 for third and fourth place.
But in the finals team #4 would be unbeaten to this point, so team #2 would have win twice against them to secure the overall first place.
Its just an ordinary dual elimination modus.
At the end the team that gets fourth place would have lost all of their matches in the finals. The teams that get third and second would have won at least one, possibly two matches in the finals and the team that gets first place would have won 3 matches in the finals.

Please see the following comment as a constructive criticism.

In your example Team #2 and #4 fight in round 1 and round 3, but Team #1 does not fight against Team #2 and also Team #3 does not fight Team #4 at all.
But how can Team #1 get "only" third place if it never fights Team #4 (for second place) after fighting Team#3 twice?
In this case Team#1 won in round1, lost in round2 (vs #4) and then fights against Team #3 AGAIN, which can lead to 3rd or 4th place, but probably 3rd, because they already won in round1 against the same team.
Compare that to Team#2 that lost in roun1. Both #1 and #2 only lost one round, but Team#2 fights for first and second place, while Team#1 can ONLY fight for 3rd and 4th place.
please correct me, if I understood it wrong.
Why was such system choosen instead of a free for all?
Time saving seems not, if the finals are 1.5h after the semis.

But, yes you are absolutely right, the way I thought of doing it seems odd.
I guess we just do another free for all in which each team fights each other team. On second sight that seems more interesting and fair.
I´m still learning on the move after all.

First i thought it to be "normal" playoff thingy, so I got confused. (Only minor detail of winning all of the drops left now...)
