So my founders pack number was 12,999.

Looking at this thread it looks like they have sold about 15,000 at the moment

http://mwomercs.com/...e/page__st__220

let's say that number gets to 20,000 fairly quickly. With many people buying the Legendary pack, and quite a few Elite packs (only seen a few veteran ones, we all want those mechs) lets assume an average income of $90 (the average of the Elite and Legendary packs)

So they have potentially raised 1.8 million dollars and have not even let us play the game yet. Well done (no sarcasm intended) I want Mechs to live again in all their former glory.

If they raised 1.8 million dollars, I am very happy for PGI. This is a good start. :P

I'm seeing a lot of legendary founders packs out on these forums........we really are the diehards aren't we. No way the wife would let me drop $120 on a game though........sigh......can't blame her

If the guys at PGI told someone five years ago that they would make 1.8 million bucks by selling a game that HASN'T EVEN BEEN RELEASED yet, they'd have been slapped.

To be fair 1.8 million is only speculation......but judging from all the Legendary tags they are doing fairly well.......however I imagine once all of us forum fanboys sell out sails will drop off.

If these results are as shocking as they seem to be I'm sure they'll make a post thanking their community/bragging/making this information public so possible investors can see. I have a decent hand at statistics though, and I'm quite certain that within 6 hours of the founder's release they had reached 1 million.

Founders id #'s are already into the 13k's, most polls I've seen show around 50% legendary and 25/25% for the other options.
In simple terms
13,000sales(120$*.5+60$*.25+30$*.25)=

1,072,500$ (or in other words, way to go PGI)

I haven't bought mine yet, have to check with the wife. But if you think this is good check this out

Back in the 88 there was a game called Wasteland. Awesome game. Well, the makers of it finally are doing Wasteland 2. They needed funding. So they went to kickstarter.com

http://www.kickstart...ile/wasteland-2

Check out the pledges on the right

If a game like that can get that much, BT can get a lot more and especially over time. Maybe they can get enough to buy it all back from TOPPS.

:) I just posted this in another thread... haha small world.

I'm just glad developers are finally taking back their games from the marketers. I will never buy CoD...4(?) It's hard to keep track of the numbers on these bro-games.

According to this thread, which tracks founder pack sales according to forum members bearing the pretty badges, sales just exceeded the one million dollar mark on the 27th.

Just a heads up, according to one of the devs in one of the threads where people listed what number they were to buy a founders pack, the transaction id number is not linear.

So I'm not sure you can base your guesstimation on that =). But I agree that there seem to be a lot of founders around.

I believe the technical term for the amount of money raised is a metric crapton
