Buying and trying to play the Thunderbolt. My worst mech experience by far. I might as well have spent Cbills on mechs that came with pre-exploded arms and torsos.

I just Mastered the Thuds, they are not easy to use, i agree. However I like my TDR-5SS (aka Fat Chicken) with XL, 2 ER LL, 1 ER PPC and 1 PPC. Main reason being the PPCs are mounted high on torso, so I can fire my shots over the crest and take cover immediately. Need to watch the heat though. Fyi, I sold the rest of the Thuds variant. Looking forward to the new (and free!) 9S.

Cataphracts, i saw they were popular & wanted to give them a try but i cannot use them. Still sticking with them for shear obstinance value.

this whole game is a waste of money and cbills. sry if it hurts.

In fact I always feel sorry that you or anybody feel this way. I agree with many that the game needs more in-depth contents but I am at least happy to log in now and then to have a Mech blast and relishing the Mechs taken out from the Battletech game. And not spending a cent, yet.

Yup, on with the topic, I'd ground and saved C-bills (and you know how costly an Assault is!) to buy a Highlander that I just failed to use it effectively. Sold it.

I have deep regrets about my WVR-6R. Three missile hardpoints... what was I thinking? Well, okay, I was thinking that it might be fun with SRMs, and that last event left me with a free mech bay. About ten minutes after buying it, I remembered that there's a reason my JR7-D, HBK-4SP, and AWS-8R/8T have been in the garage so long. I might wind up being less remorseful if the upcoming patches actually fix SRMs, though.

I also deeply regretted buying commandos as my first mechs; thankfully, that was in closed beta, and not long before a reset let me make better choices with my life. I did enjoy the COM-2D though.

Hahaha, I don't regret those nine flamers at all for mine. It was worth every penny to imagine the look on the face of the one guy I killed. Ditto for the 9 TAGs, but more for my teammates' exasperation.

Buying Locusts+DHS+Endo+FF upgrades and selling them back after one week. I don't normally sell my mechs, but Locusts were beyond salvation.

- Buying an Awesome
- Buying a Dragon

Everything else is pretty much still in my mechbay.

Dragons can still kick but.....sorta...Mine will never leave my garage...but

Flame....got it to run around lol derping with a torso gauss...then came the great gauss nerf...#dead Sold it.

Awesome 8Q. One of my old favorites. Used to be one badazz mech but died with ghost heat and the introduction of stalkers. Ive bought this mech back at lest 5 times and Rage sold it with just bout every configuration under the sun to try to get this puppy to sing.

I never regretted buying Awesomes, Commandos, target info gathering, or the old adv. zoom.

I did regret buying Artemis for my JR7-D just so I could try an ASRM-4 on it. Oddly enough, 4MLAS + 1SRM-4 is one of my favorite builds until you put Artemis on it.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has squandered their cadet bonus. I tried a couple mechs recommended in some guides, didn't like them, sold em. I even sold that champion Centurion, which I regret doing, but at least I still have the mechbay. :P It's all good though, the grind isn't all that bad. Since then I've mastered the medium class and am still going strong!

The thing is, the hardpoints and such look great on paper, but it's the whole "barn door" factor, as NGNG eloquently put it, that kills it. I suppose it might do acceptably if it had a coordinated lance supporting it, but there are better mechs for such a situation, you know? It's also kinda built for long range, what with all the PPCs and missile tubes...

Regretting buying Awesomes.. after the gost heat and not fixing the hitboxes properly. I even had Pretty Baby... At least 30 Mill Cbills wasted. For now i'am regretting the Locust, its way to fragile and the speed is not fast enough compared to other light mechs. In total i think i wasted about 100Mil Cbills. I got now 46 mechs.
